Since i enjoyed Re-designing some Video-game baddies for my Captain-N poster so much, I decided to make one more
.Shy-Guy from Mario games.

ive always thought they where boos and they put on the mask so they can look at people without being "shy"

I was wondering around searching the word "guy" and stumbled across this. I have to say I am very impressed. Not only is the Shy Guy a very adorable and well known character but his simplicity is what attracts people to him. You captured this as well as gave him some gothic flair that makes him stand out. It's too bad Nintendo industries couldn't use this, form, and go with a game or story that uses this sort of style. I could really see Mario and the others gothed out a bit at one of Boo's castles.

Would be totally epic if they redesigned and redid the first Mario Bros in a dark violent and more mature way. A more visceral look at it.

That's brilliant! I love it. It's got this kind of grim aura that's such a contrast to his usual self. I wonder what an entire Mario game in this vision would be like. Pretty awesome, no doubt.

I think its the ET finger mixed with the mask that gives him the...cute...feel. Though my thoughts never went there. I thought he was creepy and would scare Mario enough that he would say "screw chasing after Peach for the billionth time...I'm gonna find a new chick." Cause yeah I don't think he would go up against that guy there LOL Good job I really love this pic.

That would have been a scarier villain, but then again....if Mario gets redesigned....it's a scary thought.....

That is an amazing redesign on an amazing character. The only thing that's missing from the original is the blue-ish feet, but I guess that'd just destroy the design completely...
