W.Meggy: "So, this is supposed to be me, now? This ugly thing?!"
W.Pearl: "Of a sorts. Supposedly when an Inkling is drained of all their ink, they become a human. Somehow."
W.Marine: "Even ah don't pretend to understand the science behind THAT one."
W.Pearl: "She was still vulnerable after the events on that island, of course. She broke pretty easily. Too easily, in fact. Hmm."
W.Meggy: "...It's not fair! I was supposed to win that Splatfest! ME! The REAL Meggy! Not this noodle-limbed lookalike! Why even bring her here?"
W.Pearl: "Darling, is it not prudent to use her? Don't you want to show the world that you are the superior and true Megs? What better way than to have her be your lacky? Put the human in her place, where she deserves to be!"
W.Meggy: "Well...when you put it like that..."
W.Marina: "Dang, she looks angry..."
W.Pearl: "Lotta pent up rage against that gecko and anime. Perhaps being like us will give her a chance to...let it all out. Now come on. We got a lotta things to plan before we invade that city tomorrow. Come along, Megworth. Your counterpart will be fine here for the night."
W.Meggy: "Fine, fine...YOU! Stay here for the night and don't do anything dumb. Got that?!"
HuMeg: "...Yes, Miss."
W.Meggy: "...Good. Tomorrow, we're gonna show those Inkos what a REAL Splatfest winner looks like! They're gonna regret trying to forget...m-me..."
[the three leave, leving HuMeg alone in the room. She waits for a few seconds...then smiles, and removes the colour-changing contacts in her eyes]
HuMeg: "Broke too easily...ha!" [digs out a phone and calls someone] "Axol? They bought it, I'm in!"

Okay so this thing's been sitting in my St.ash for months now. I kind of put off putting it up, but I might as well. Everything's written in. So, this was supposed to be two things; a follow-up to Initiation (Initiation (Splatoon/SMG4 GMOD) ) and a test to see if the Dark Kraken Eyes fit with the Human Meggy model. To answer to that is........kind of? They fit, but they're massive and take up her entire eye, and I can't scale the textures down. Oh well. Was worth a try. I could never bring myself to delete this one. I think I enjoyed the poses too much...
Now, this was when I was thinking of using War Meggy a bit more than I ended up doing. I still have her dupe on hand, but only because GMOD refuses to delete my dupes and keeps restoring the ones I remove. It's really pissing me off. Anyway, I ended up writing a backstory for her in the wake of HuMeg - this Meggy is from another timeline, salvaged from a bad future where Francis won and killed everyone except Desti. It was a world that War Pearl and her ilk landed in after a forced retreat from the main universe that War Pearl wanted to take over. Dragging this Meggy's body back into that universe and reviving her, War Pearl would try and get this one to break, but Inkling Meggy proved to be a little stubborn to say the least. That is, until Meggy escapes back to the city to win Splatfest and mess with Desti. And then...she sees the truth. She has been forgotten. Desti is dead and supposedly good now. And this tiny, noodle-limbed...FREAK has won Splatfest and has the AUDACITY to pretend to be Meggy! This was...this was wrong! It was Meggy who should've won that! HER!
So, yeah. You can see why I sat on this for a while. I almost had an idea for War Meggy, but I had nothing really stable. At best I had, "she finds her wasted future and jealousy plus trauma from the Anime Arc caused her to snap like a twig". Which, compared to the losses experienced by the others, is just...a little lesser. Perhaps even petty. I think that was one of the reasons I disregarded the idea, alongside another one; I'm not happy taking Luke's character and doing this. I feel it's a little disrespectful. And trust me, there's enough disrespectful Meggy art out there, in some form. So I do not want to add to that. Honestly I just want to put this up and see what happens. My Meggy images seem quite popular. Guess that stands to her popularity beyond the wave of those wishing for the human change to be reverted when it first kicked off. Did you know some people came up with a theory that Human Meggy and Inkling Meggy are different people? Yep, people are that unwilling to accept this new reality.
Honestly I could go into detail on that sort of self-wish-fulfillment, ESPECIALLY when it comes to reviving Desti, but I need to plan it out in a way that doesn't just say "fuck you if you like Desti", because I know I can be a tactless bastard like that sometimes. I need to give it some more thought. And...frankly, I think I've waffled on for long enough in this one.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: While I appreciate people enjoying their little roleplays, please be aware that I discourage setting them up in the comments of peoples' deviations, including my own. They have a tendancy to be hard to look at and spiral out of control. So, control yourselves, yeah? Cool.

The idea is that...well. Remember the Mario Multiverse episode concept I mentioned to you some time ago? The idea is that War Pearl is trying to enter the SMG4 universe and do as she does - make Inklings suffer, gather materials, control the city. She makes small appearances throughout the so-called Warmonger Arc - such as, again, in the Mario Multiverse episode, picking up a half-destroyed Inkweaver from the alternate Bad Future Francis. They even kidnap the Callie and Marie of this world and disguise their War counterparts to take their place. Of course, they are found out by, of all people, Bob, Boopkins and Markus and they're driven away.
THEN it's revealed the War Pearl Markus saw while saving Mario was her from that event, driven not only into another world but slightly back into the past. They take the Inkweaver and the still-Inkling Meggy's body and revive it and then allllllll the stuff happens to make War Meggy. To put it simply, the Gang discovers their attempt to invade the city once more and go out to stop them. Meggy gets a...weird idea, disguise as a Warmonger and sneak in, but it works. War Pearl's ego clouds any judgement on the ease of turning, and now the Gang has a mole. They know what's coming...

Nice. So War Pearl is quick to jump to conclusions and may screw herself over by mistaking someone for being one of her kind. Similar to how I’ve speculated that if she assumed Zelus is a Warmonger, it would not end well for her.

War Pearl loves that feeling of being evil. She craves that card-carrying style. Its just unfortunate she kind of takes on all of the evil traits, including the ego.

Well, War Marie feels that way, offing all the Octolings. War Callie wants to stop fighting and go back to the newslot, while War Marina just wants to take her anger out on the Inklings. But War Pearl? She's here for fun.

A good variety of villainous motivations. Hmm, what drives my bad bois (both original and “adopted”:
The Smiler- thinks that human society will be greatly improved if he takes control of it.
Wicker Man- wants to kill off humanity to preserve nature.
Red Tari- unlike the last two, she knows how evil she is, and she enjoys every minute of it. Unlike W. Pearl, she’d usually rather break someone’s mailbox than conquer an entire city.
Zelus- wrongly blames Glitchy and Meggy for her imprisonment in OnyxKing’s computer.
Dharkon- um... I guess he sees The Dark Realm as a work of art? I guess it is morbidly beautiful, with it’s glowing nebulae and crumbling planets.

Well to be fair, that's more motivation for Dharkon than they ever gave him in World of Light proper. I actually kind of like the idea he enjoyed spreading his own breed of beautiful.
A lot of my bad guys were motivated by a sort of revenge in the past. Perhaps the most obvious was War Master, the start of the Warmonger mess. He was always lashing out, half-crazed by the death of his sister. I guess loss and rage are just the elements of a Warmonger. They all lose, and they all rage.

That, and he’s completely psychotic and sadistic. His way of adding to The Dark Realm is by destroying all life on a planet (by wildly rampaging through it along with his slaves), then transporting it to the Realm, where it is further damaged, corrupted, and digested, until it’s little more than a billion chunks of debris floating around the void, among other words that have also fallen to Dharkon’s power.
Is becoming a Warmonger just a thing for Inklings/Octolings?

Not really. Anyone could become a Warmonger. Mobian, Avalician, Inkling or Octoling, even Human. Everyone's a target.

Yeah, pretty much. It's a looooooooooooong story that spans three Franchises, I kid you not. Even starts during the time of the Echidna Clan from Sonic Adventure.

HMMMM. Well, allow me to simplify it as best I can...
=Gods from unknown Pantheon are sent to Earth in Meteors. Tribe trying to survive against the Echidna Clan find the stones and sharpen them into weapons. The power of the gods corrupt them, becoming the first Warmongers.
=Tribe and Clan are wiped out by Perfect Chaos and the blades are left scattered. One blade, that of the War God Hysteria, is picked up by a guy named Markus, who carries it with him until some creep drowns his sister for his amusement. This corrupts Markus and creates the War Master.
=War Master rampages across multiverse, destroying the Archie Sonic timeline in the process, before he mellows out and becomes a vigilante known as The Traveller. Traveller ventures to another universe to stop one Sash Lilac from corrupting and...causes her corruption himself, creating a new breed of Warmonger.
=War Lilac travels across her own multiverse, corrupting other members of her team along the way, before she ends up War Master's lackey in the past. She and Traveller eventually defeat the past War Master by impaling him on a Genesis Wave device by his powerful Staff of Chaos, completely wiping and resetting the multiverse and all of the Warmongers. Traveller is reincarnated as a good guy once more, and the Warmonger threat is removed...
=Until a remnant of War Master, dubbed KARSUM, is able to get a Pearl to corrupt, reintroducing Warmongers to the world. All of the previous ones return bar War Master himself, and War Pearl slowly creates her own team of Warmongers. The Warmonger condition is itself reincarnated as a plague that spreads across the multiverse and infects everyone and anyone. It is Everywhere. Effervescent. Eternal. All because of one guy's drowned sister.
...You know, when I write it out like that...it's really dumb, but that's how it be.

HuMeg had a chill in her back. As if a dark presence was close. She then turned and saw another of these corrupt creatures. With her yellow eyes War Raidark looked at her while her dark gaze remains infallible.
War Raidark: Changing side by lies ?.. I'm not surprises for that... betray... Everything has shadows.. and shadows announce their messages to me.
Also thanks about that my art will be useful for you, even that i have doing nothing for Meggy. I'm just checking your original art of her and transposed here. ^^
