I followed the instructions on the readme.txt, but no new skin was added to Rainmeter. I don't know what I missed, shouldn't there be a .rmskin-packet at one point? Thanks for any advice in advance.

Try my All in one PlayerΒ maxvanijsselmuiden.deviantart.β¦ , it is an .rmskin package which also supports foobar2000. Goodluck!

On the right of this page you can see a link 'Download File'. Just click on that. It should work. Yep.

Hi again, do you maybe have an idea why this happens: [link] Sometimes the album art just says "no album art" with a white/transparant background, and the song name isn't shown either. Then songs that used to work also don't get any info displayed.
Do you know how to fix this?

Sorry for the late reply, but have you tried my new skin? It uses a new method for foobar2000 which is more reliable: [link]

Well yeah the method used in this skin isn't that reliable. BUT, I'm working on a new all-in-one player for rainmeter which will (hopefully) no longer have these problems. If you please could wait some time, it will be worth it.

Where do the album cover pics have to be stored to get picked up?
I download music, open with iTunes, add album cover in iTunes (either manually or via their automatic service). Foobar2000 picks up on those, but not all of the album pics are send to 127.0.0.1
Anyone?

This is great, but the name of the song and album doesn't change unless I refresh the skin. Any idea as to why?
π: 0 β©: 1
maxvanijsselmuiden In reply to Neteru [2011-05-15 20:24:43 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, it should be working fine. Did you check if there's any updaterate=1 or updatedivider=1 in the .ini file?

Neteru In reply to maxvanijsselmuiden [2011-05-16 08:43:26 +0000 UTC]
That was the problem, the update rate was set to 60000. Thank you very much!

i did everything the read me said and when i try to load up the skin with rainmeter nothing happens. literally, i go to configs and select the skin and it doesn't even load. what is wrong?
π: 0 β©: 1
maxvanijsselmuiden In reply to taxstin [2011-04-29 17:06:19 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, i think the problem is, that it does load, but it won't display, because the skin 'thinks' foobar2000 isn't running. Try restarting pc, see if it works. Otherwise try redoing all the steps

I had install it in win xp and I couldn't find out any Roaming folder in Documents and Settings. I also created Roaming folder in both 'All User' and My user name folder but it's not as desired.how can i do now?
π: 0 β©: 1
maxvanijsselmuiden In reply to vietthang911 [2011-04-16 23:40:49 +0000 UTC]
You'll have to make sure to enable 'display hidden files and folders', Google that if you don't know how to do that. Then you'll must be able to find the roaming folder in the application data folder, which should be in your documents and settings/username folder.

Thank you. I have solved it. In fact, there aren't no folder roaming folder in my PC. It not work because i missed foo_httpcontrol.dll in Foobar Profile Folder (C:\Documents and Settings\#yourusername#\Application Data\foobar2000). Maybe it's depend on each PC

Hi. Lovely job! how would i modify the code so that the skin doesn't disappear when I close down foobar?
π: 0 β©: 1
maxvanijsselmuiden In reply to Witt666 [2011-04-17 13:41:25 +0000 UTC]
Just remove "IfEqualValue=0 IfEqualAction=!Execute [!Rainmeter blabla enz." under [mPlaying] in the .ini file. It should be working fine if you replace all nocover.jpg images that you can find in the roaming folder and the program files (x86)\foobar2000 folder.. I can't tell you exactly how right now because i'm not running foobar2000 anymore.. Hope this helps!

Wonderful. Thank you very much. Found the correct images in change (in roaming, NOT in program files\foobar) Had to fiddle a bit to get skin to stay when foobar was closed down, but got it too work. However, it would be great if the skin started up with the rest of rainmeter (independent of foobar running), simply so that there isn't a gap in my desktop arrangement (aesthetics eh!). Cheers

Yeah, well, it should be working if you just remove "IfEqualValue=0 IfEqualAction=!Execute [!Rainmeter blabla enz." under [mPlaying] in the .ini file. I guess that's what you meant?

no problem yes, that should be possible - you'll have to change the settings in the 'config' file, try opening it with notepad. Hope it works

Try changing the 'config' file from the Foobar2000 plug-in, httpcontrol. It should be in your C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\foobar2000\ directory try it !

bbddaniel In reply to maxvanijsselmuiden [2011-03-17 23:21:09 +0000 UTC]
yes,i think something is wrong here
"7. Go to File > Preferences > Visualisations > Shpeck and look for ": ", replace the value with this: "$if($strcmp(%title%,%filename%)='',$if(%tracknumber%,'#'%tracknumber%'- ')%filename%['('%length%')'])", without the quotes, ofcourse."
i changed "Current track" to "$if($strcmp(%title%,%filename%)='',$if(%tracknumber%,'#'%tracknumber%'- ')%filename%['('%length%')'])"
but it doesn't work.it doesn't show me the title of the song and the album, all other is normal...

I am having some trouble with the visualization portion of the skin as well as http portion I cant find either of those settings in my foobar
I was wondering what version of foobar 2000 you intended this skin for.

maxvanijsselmuiden In reply to Neynj [2011-03-16 19:53:36 +0000 UTC]
Have you followed the steps in the readme? You've probably copied the "foobar2000" folder with "http_control_data", to the wrong folder. On Windows XP, the folder is "C:/Documents and Settings/YourUsername/Application Data/Roaming" It works for all versions of foobar2000.
