Commission 2 of 4 - January 2023

"Jefferoni Pizza and the Multiverse of Madness"
Or as I like to call it, "trying not to wipe Samus's mole off thinking it's a speck of dirt, round 5"

It took a month instead of a week due to the wrists, but I finally got the second commission done! Thank you for your patience while my wrists threw a temper tantrum.

This one had some fun challenges (red-alert lighting while still keeping the standard indoor-lighting, red lighting on a green outfit, and drawing someone I know in real life...okay, that one wasn't fun, that was just weird ). This ended up being right in my comfort zone scale-wise so it was nice to be able to feel like I could go all-out instead of being restricted by size. I find that drawing people smaller than this makes it really hard to get the details (particularly in the face) right, while drawing larger makes it hard to get smooth lines and flat colours. So this is right where I'm comfortable.

I ended up keeping sheets of paper layered over areas I wasn't working in case my wrists let go and I dropped a marker or something. I did end up dropping pencil crayons and liners a few times (which is when I'd stop drawing that day), but thankfully no markers dropped.

And I'm FINALLY back to work today! As much as I've been itching to get out of here, now that I can draw again I almost wish I had more time. Every project I had on my back-burned for when I had time off requires wrists, so I ended up playing a LOT of GameBoy and didn't do much else.

Anyway!

I hope everyone had a fantastic and safe holiday season, and I'm excited to see what we all create in the new year!
