How to spend less time preparing art for colouring. *I'm finding some old old arts today on my Photobucket I didn't have access to...* Thought I would share. (sorry it's in Polish)

A handy tutorial:
How to not go to pains with colouring <3
(by Megan-Uosiu)

1. We draw lineart.
- it can have some "holes".
- the larger the canvas, the more retouches you will have to do later on.

2. We use Magic Wand Tool on the background, somewhere outside the lines. But it doesn't work.
*contiguous has to be pressed.

bad.

3. Okay, so once more. But first we copy the lineart layer and fill out the holes on this copy.

!! COPY <3

4. etc, all the holes. Then...

5. Again Magic Wand Tool somewhere on the background
CLICK!
Still on the copy ->

6. Menu -> Select -> Modify -> Expand ...
2px
if the lineart is thin -> 1px
if thick -> 3px

7. Select -> Inverse.

8. New Layer.

9. Apply mask on the new layer (it will mask everything except the current selection).

10. Paint Bucket Tool -> we colour the new layer (not the mask)
!!!

11. On the mask we clean up all the mess made by filling out the holes. This is still faster than colouring everything by hand.

1.)This is no longer needed
2.)Here we clean.
3.)...using black colour!

PS. White places (where there is no colour) have to be filled out too.
