The website is run by someone whose goal is to disprove all the 2012 theories out there using the most valid evidence possible. (see article: "2012- Why It Shouldn't Be Feared) After researching for over a year and reading his newsletter, I've come to realize that 2012 has become a HUGE cash cow.
It's become a tool to instill fear in the general public, and I'm really sick of all this apocalypse crap. I tend to be a realist. Of course, I do believe that unfortunate events will occur leading up to and on that day, but it's due to the course that humans have decided to take as a result of global warming, wars, etc. Everything about galactic alignment/pole shifting/planet X is pretty much all fake, and numerology and Nostradamus are invalid arguments.
My prediction for 2012? People are going to purchase a surplus of food/water, they're going to huddle in a room with their families until the time comes on that date, and after 11:11 passes, we'll SEE THE BIG ASTEROID WHICH WON'T HIT US, and then... nothing. I think it's going to be the start of a new revolution, to be totally honest.
Something we NEED. And something big may happen... but it won't be the end of the physical world or an apocalypse. Don't worry.

Remember when they said everything would go boom in 2000? IT DIDNT HAPPEN. 2012? ITS WONT FRIGGIN HAPPEN. Just because a calender ends on 2012, does MEAN this crap.

I think that why everyone is beliveing it is because its unusalal for a ancient civilzation to predict that far so i think thats why but its pretty obvious it wont happen in fact mayns 2012 accoding to scientist is acutaly 2001!

yea cauase i member seeing somthing about the mayan calender bering (enter #here) years ahead of us. and 9/11 was considered a world cotastrofy cause there where people from so many different countries there and almost no one survieved. it did spawn a great change of things around the world, and the airflights.

people 2012 is a hoax no doubt.
no planet alignment
no geo-whatever shift ( a polar shift happens every few years a 1 degree movement hence y we have *TRUE north,and MAGNETIC north) our solar system is not in the centre of our galaxy. we have a solar maximum every 11 years. Nibiru (the planet/asteroid) doesnt exist (planet X does but never comes close enough to earth to do anything to it)
seriously you take more danger with your lives walking across the road then 2012.
the mayan calender ends in 2012 - big deal...ours ends on december 21st...are we gonna die? DOUBTFUL.

you do know that we align every year on the winter solstice?
i watched 2012 earlier and couldnt stop laughing. it even says on NASA's website that a polar shift is impossible and a magnetic shift takes thousands of years...so how it got to be in a movie (which is meant to be part fact) has really made me laugh xx

did you know that a love bird can kill a parrot like a macaw? and a pair of love birds have been known to wipe out a colony of cockateils? i think lovebirds are the only bird that will do that for no apparent reason.
Parotlets will kill each other if a pair come into close range for breeding, and will snap at another birds foot if lands on their cage...

I agree. I really don't think it will happen. Because I remember how people were freaking out back in 2000 and 2006. Apparently something was supposed to happen in those years, but nothing ever did. in 2000, I didn't think to much of it because I was young. And in 2006, well actually, I didn't even KNOW there was a theory for something to happen in 2006 until now. >>;
So I'm not worried about this 2012 stuff. I'm just going to sit back and continue enjoying my life. <3

Who said anything about an asteroid? Not saying I in 2012 but on Dec. 11 2012 the Sun will be exactly in the middle of the galaxy~heating the oceans and melting the icecaps completely if they aren't all ready. So Earth get's to hot and floods. Something is telling me Global Warming will get to us first...

personaly i dont belive in global warming cause we have only been able to track the earths patter for what 300years. and the last iceage was about 10,000years ago so it probly natraul that the world will heat up. but if it does flood they we can makes houses of sticks that flote. i highly dout that a flood would happen again cause god promised us, and the fact the are actually very prepared for such a thing if it where to happen

Throughout the centuries, people have been worried that the world will end in their decade. For example, people thought the world was ending during the Black Plague and people thought the world was going to end in 2000. Guess what? IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
I believe it is the government trying to control us with fear!
