The website is run by someone whose goal is to disprove all the 2012 theories out there using the most valid evidence possible. (see article: "2012- Why It Shouldn't Be Feared) After researching for over a year and reading his newsletter, I've come to realize that 2012 has become a HUGE cash cow.
It's become a tool to instill fear in the general public, and I'm really sick of all this apocalypse crap. I tend to be a realist. Of course, I do believe that unfortunate events will occur leading up to and on that day, but it's due to the course that humans have decided to take as a result of global warming, wars, etc. Everything about galactic alignment/pole shifting/planet X is pretty much all fake, and numerology and Nostradamus are invalid arguments.
My prediction for 2012? People are going to purchase a surplus of food/water, they're going to huddle in a room with their families until the time comes on that date, and after 11:11 passes, we'll SEE THE BIG ASTEROID WHICH WON'T HIT US, and then... nothing. I think it's going to be the start of a new revolution, to be totally honest.
Something we NEED. And something big may happen... but it won't be the end of the physical world or an apocalypse. Don't worry.

I know, the 2012 thing is SO bogus. I mean, yeah, the world WILL end someday, but there is no predicted date. It could be in 3035 for all I care.

well the Mayan decedents have no idea what we're talking about because of the recent translation that says the world will end somewhere after the year 4000...

NASA just announced that the world will NOT end in 2012.
The reason why people belive this is because of the miya callender, whatever its called because it ends on that date. But i reckon its just because there isnt enough room.

the past few nights I haven't been able to sleep about this 2012 stuff. It's like GAH I DON'T WANNA DIE. But now, there have been plent of these apocolyptic dates thingy ma bobs, and yes we're still here, so yeah. Phew I guess I don't have to worry so much. Cheers folks! 8D

The world should not end in 2012. I read an article about that mayan calendar, and it turns out that the "end of days" is just the end of their millenium. It's very close to our millenium. I may be wrong, but who knows? 2012 shall be an interesting year.

In fact it is not even a hoax. It is a silly arrogance of
people who wish to seem superior by some 'old wisdom'.
Most folk who believe in this 2012 rubbish are the kind of
lazy minds who don't even read books other than "Twilight",
never mind knowing anything about mysticism or history...
The Mayans were primitive people. They could not in any
way predict the futuristic world we have now, or how it
could end. To think so is the worst kind of naive and
mis-informed ignorance. The herd-mentality at work...
In some ways the ancients were indeed clever, no doubt.
But also they were incredibly credulous and superstitious.

I remember when I first heard about it... I was scared shitless, up until when I learned about the facts behind it... seriously, the calendar that they're basing this whole thing off of is actually going to just reset itself... kind of like, oh, I don't know, our own traditional calendars?
I plan to throw a huge "end of the world" party on that day just to mock the whole occasion. Wanna come? :3

Dude, you're right.
You see, the whole "the world's gonna die" thing is because the Maya perdicted it. People read their predictions, stating it was all true, the fall of the towers, something else i can't remember. The truth is, a meteor won't distroy us, we will destroy ourselves and the creatures with us. This whole 2012 thing might just be like the alleged "The world's gonna end on september 11" thing, or the whole "The world's gonna end in 2000" thing. But i believe that God will end it when he ends it. no-one can truely predict their deaths.
That's all i have to say on the subject, i hope people don't hate me for this.

i must say i agree with what you said on ur artist comment, though i have been fighting with myself over what if the world dose or dosent but, this has helped me realise i was worrying over nothing, and yes a revolution would be good, may stop humans from damageing the planet evan more.

It's funny cause a lot of people that are skeptical of the event always think it's something destructive or an asteroid, etc. What about the other theories of it being a spiritual evolution and a new perspective on everything is revealed as our consciousness expands if we follow the path of righteousness and peace among ourselves and others only then will we advance more changed in this way. Edgar Casey also commented on this as being another day for a lot of us however those ready and spiritually prepared will expand consciousness in this time of our human cycle and this is why you see the economy and other things failing and people exposing the crimes committed by them and realizing that the system doesn't work is because we will no longer need to rely on currency but something more valuable to us in terms of compassion and understanding will exist in it's place.
This is one theory I hope pulls through cause we can either all follow - follow our destructive path and launch nukes, etc. or we can do the most reasonable thing for our species and disarm. I just feel it is time for us to return to the path of self knowledge that we've been seriously lacking from allowing so much suffering to go on in the world and somehow find peace.
There are far too many pieces of the puzzle there is to the larger tapestry of everything to know if it will and won't happen and as someone had said earlier these are my opinions of course and I don't know either if they will happen or not but my point is that there are so many theories and angles at the 2012 thing you can take that we can make something happen and odd enough that these things talk or mention 2012 in them like recently found out by myself, the Tora.
I believe Edgar Casey could be spot on since he has been with human history before events would even happen through his predictions. He is no kook or fake since he has diagnosed patients in his sleep and fixed one man's leg with a nail where no other doctor could. He also gave free readings and well into his last breathe he did the community service of guiding people around him on their path. He also has his own library that professional's of their field go to look up information because all his writings are accurate studies so anyway to wrap this up I recommend picking up pieces of knowledge about the event and things around you till you realize that it very well could come about that we enter a new age with new spiritual knowledge and who knows it could even be god himself or even the aliens that could have genetically engineered us from primates, which is what the ancient Sumarian text's documented, so you see there are so many angles on this event that we possibly couldn't know if anything will happen but things around us and in religious texts and in astrology as well as many many other things if you just look into them... especially things from our past like ancient civilizations have documented. Just looks some stuff up, do some research, don't be afraid to think outside the box cause who knows what could happen be it positive or negative for us in the future.
