Description
Stamp template from [link] and star background from this photo: [link]This is pretty much inspired by the newsletter at dailycommonsense.com. The website is run by someone whose goal is to disprove all the 2012 theories out there using the most valid evidence possible. (see article: "2012- Why It Shouldn't Be Feared) After researching for over a year and reading his newsletter, I've come to realize that 2012 has become a HUGE cash cow.
It's become a tool to instill fear in the general public, and I'm really sick of all this apocalypse crap. I tend to be a realist. Of course, I do believe that unfortunate events will occur leading up to and on that day, but it's due to the course that humans have decided to take as a result of global warming, wars, etc. Everything about galactic alignment/pole shifting/planet X is pretty much all fake, and numerology and Nostradamus are invalid arguments.
My prediction for 2012? People are going to purchase a surplus of food/water, they're going to huddle in a room with their families until the time comes on that date, and after 11:11 passes, we'll SEE THE BIG ASTEROID WHICH WON'T HIT US, and then... nothing. I think it's going to be the start of a new revolution, to be totally honest.

Where's that blackhole?

That's a main point I make whenever I talk about this whole hoax. Glad someone else remembered it too, a lot of people seem to have forgotten. I bet they'll forget about 2012 come 2013. Hell, I forget about it often myself.

Might I talk above noise here and state that; yes, it IS said that the Mayan calender will end on December 12th 2012, however, many Mayan descendents say that they have no idea of any coming apocolypse.
Might I also say that there are countless orginizations selling t-shirts and so forth advertising 2012, now, I'm no expert, but to me, it seems that as long as they're selling their merchandise, they don't give a sh*t about 2012 because they know that humans are too gulible to know otherwise!
And last, but not least, here's the name of one individual who believes in 2012; MEL GIBSON.

Thank you for making this stamp! I couldn't agree with you more! If I remember correctly there is going to be a celestial event happening, such as the sun lining up with the center of the horizon of the Milky Way or something like that, but it's not a real reason for people to panic. It's not like it's going to open up some portal to another dimension and brig doom upon the planet.

Here's my plan for 2012 to take advantage of someone's stupidity.
Day before 2012, I make an agreement with a panicking fool: World's gonna end, why not cede your house to me? If they're really freaked out, they might actually do it.

All I have to say is that we won't get destroyed when 2012 comes around, people are acting like chickens with their heads cut off when it comes to this date. ITS JUST A DATE PEOPLE, THE WORLD WILL NOT END ON IT! There have been predictions like this in the past and they never happened, so to me, people are panicking over nothing.

I also think all this end of the world stuff is crap. I'm watching something on the history channel and they're trying to say that the passage ways in a pyramid is a "Doomsday Calender." I think it's a load of shit to be honest. I think in 2012 life will continue to go on... Wasn't there an apocalyptic prophecy for like... 2000 or something? And it's a decade later and we're STILL here.
I don't believe in prophecies to begin with.

I don't think that the stars will have anything to do with it. If the human population dies off, it will be our own fault.
I have no true opinion on Nostradamus. I watch the History Channel program with my grandfather, and I'm not sure what to make of it.
It may just be propaganda or it may not. We really will not know until the day comes.
Anyways, sorry for the rant. Love your sparkly stamp.

I was watching something on Discovery, they were talking about things that could happen in 2012 and why some of the other things are fake. Did you know that Planet X is a name for a planet that isn't real, that's stupid! There's no planet so they name it Planet X. That's what the girl said.
I don't believe this 2012 either, they say that so many things tell us that 2012 is the last day. What if one country heard that another country thought that 1973 was the end of the world, they would believe them.

Still, this wouldn't be a bad idea since I have the feeling that we're going to face a crisis worse than the financial crisis... revolution, war, and all that. who knows?

I read many articles and watched many videos on youtube about that topic, and came to the same conclusion, that 2012 is a hoax.
instead of signs of an approaching apocalypse I found something else which is way more interesting:
One of the videos (which wasn't trying to spread around panic) said that natural catastrophies ****could***** occur due to increasing sun storms activity and the accompanied increase of the earth's characteristic frequency. But at the same time human mind will be raised to a different state of consciousness because the brain frequency of people is dependant on the earth's characteristic frequency (and this is proven by science - I think it's called Schuman frequency) That way all human beings will face the state of mind of a collective society - they will lose their egoism and think about welfare of all human beings on earth in their actions.
I dunno if that's true, but it sounds way better than the promised apocalypse. So in a way, 2012 possibly will bring change. but not the end of the world.
