Description
The Narrows in Zion provide a unique look at the towering sandstone cliffs surrounding the park. Towering at times a thousand feet over you - you feel quite small.Related content

A wonderful shot! Would you mind if I used this photograph as part of my university work? Explanation below:
I'm a geography student from England - as part of my course we'll be travelling to the four corners region of the States and shall be visiting Zion National Park (as well as the Grand Canyon NP, Arches NP, Monument Valley etc.). As one of our pre-trip assignments we've been asked to lead a lecture about the geological processes of the area - mine happens to be on the ancient deserts which formed much of this area (the Navajo Sandstone).
As well as this being a truly stunning photograph; it shows the ancient sand dunes which formed over 150 million years ago (the changes in the angles of the stripes within the rock formation - known as crossbedding). It would therefore be really good to use in this presentation.
Would you mind if I used it?
I shall of course reference you as the source, including a link to this work in the powerpoint. I shall not gain any money from doing this piece of work, just a grade (hopefully a good one at that). I just fancied this image as it is striking and is of use to illustrate a point.
Many thanks in advance and I hope you found this of some interest (regardless of your decision),
Sam

I was there just a few weeks ago, and I can't wait to go back! I need to find some better shoes before then, though. Beautiful capture

I love how there is just a little bit of sunlight at the top of that narrow which makes the image quite calm and peaceful although it might have felt a little intimidating when seen in real
