Hauting and creepishly pretty. It actually reminds me of the "ring around the rosy" nursery rhyme, which was actually about a plague during which doctors wandered the streets, dressed all in black and wearing pointed, bill-shaped masks over their faces in the hope that they wouldn't catch the disease.

How can you use washed ink on paper? Doesn't the paper warp? I use always ink on canvas beacuse it makes paper warp (even if I fix it on something...)

The paper indeed warps a little, but it's thick enough (200 g) to remain workable. I use technical paper, with very little absorption capability. The ink dry on it but don't penetrate. But still, the finished drawing is a bit embossed

Thank you so much! I think I'll have to try on other kinds of paper. For now, I'll continue with canvas ^__^

I find this piece really interesting! all the detail like the one figure far far behind standing alone on top of the stairs.
Their masks are really interesting.. I wonder what they're hiding under 'em.
I'd love to see a colored version of this same theme.. leaves me wondering what kind of mood those candles and other soft lights would create.

Very moving stuff. Sort of reminds me of the garb mideval folks would wear to ward off the Black Death (juding from pictures I've seen). Best to stay behind locked doors when these characters are on the prowl!

This... I have no words for this. This is beautiful and ugly and dark and creepy and amazing and, just... a million other words and none of them have the exact meaning that I'm looking for. Maybe 'cause it's just so awesome or I'm just sick but I'm really drawn this this; the detail is simply divine. I could never, ever, ever ever ever do this with just a pen-and-ink medium. O_o;;

Complete and utter Cultness.
The wanders behind the first one sort of remind me of the followers. Mainly because their masks are different and they seem to be more feeble. They're figures are reminiscent of crows, the masks help with this effect alot as well. The eyes also seems to trail along with the different figures though they still all remind me of a crow. You did that on purpose huh? No? Uh? Whee? XD Anyways, nice detailing the disolving olde towne feeling is still there. :3

Hmm I was not especially thinking about crows when drawing them (it was more some random figures that popped up into my mind ), but you can see a crow resemblance indeed, especially in the "pointy" one

Weird, maybe it's all the crows you draw, it leeks into the other pictures. Either way it shows through with that character.

Creepy... They remind me of some of the costumes people used to make sure they couldn't get the plague, or lepra, which included snout like face masks, filled with herbs. Good stuff!

My my you have quite the following. Makes sense because you do superb work, of which this is a part of. The detail as always is impressive, and I can't help but be reminded of the manga "Bleach" when I look at the masks. Very well done indeed.
