Description
This was made with a new variation i call Oscilloscope. Once i get my act together, and make it into a plug-in, you'll be able to play with it too!Let me know what you think!

=JoelFaber is making a template to make it much easier for people to code variations. When he is done that i will make a few variations in plugin form

I like the DNA analogy that was previously mentioned, maybe with a little more weight on a particular transform and it would be even mroe realistic.
I think it shows promise, but I would like to see this variation used in a different way, as in not a spiral. Just saying, maybe a couple more previews of what it can do might help for feedback.

This is a stunning image. If you don't feel up to doing the plugin right now why not share the parameter? You could do a contest with it...

An interesting variation, indeed. I'm making myself still use Apo 2.05b Z+C++ because it's way faster than 2.06, but I'll succumb to it eventually.
Does this variation make renders slow, or does the program calculate it fairly quickly? Just wondering.

The only thing slower in 2.06 that i know of is the plugins.
This variation is actually quite fast. 1/4 the time as a similar sized juliascope render I added another parameter to it since then, so it will slow it down a bit. Making it into a plugin will slow it down a bit too

Oh well, though. I'm sure it's a variation that a lot of people would enjoy.

Awesome! I'm assuming the variation will give the pattern and not the spiral itself.

The spiral is from iterating the variation

Maybe I'll have to start looking into pluggins... I've shied away from them because of how they seem to complicate scripting.

I really like it, somehow it looks like a strand of DNA, like looking down it, through it somehow... I don't know... that's just my opinoin
