Description

This artwork depicts a weapon which is a part of my sci-fi world's lore. Do not copy the design, use it in your own artworks, or claim it as your own!

Lore and Description:
Vintar-B (also known by its factory designation, KRB-60) is a submachine gun designed by Gora Vur as a part of the "Vintar" weapon platform. The gun is chambered for 9.6 × 24 mm cartridge and differs from other weapons in the platform by being blowback-operated (most of its siblings use a long-stroke gas piston system instead). The space in which the gas piston would normally reside thus instead contains a bolt extension which serves as additional mass, allowing for better recoil control and a moderate fire rate of 750 RPM. The weapon feeds from a 32-round detachable box magazine with transparent parts for checking the amount of remaining rounds. The side-folding stock features a simple cheekpad and its length of pull can be adjusted. Rigid top cover allows for mounting of various optical devices or iron sights. Polymer handguard also allows additional accessories to be mounted. The ejection port is on the right side while the charging handle is on the left side by default. The opening for the charging handle is protected by a sliding spring-loaded cover to prevent dirt from getting into the inner mechanism of the weapon. Overall, the Vintar-B, as well as other weapons of the Vintar platform, proved to be a robust and reliable design. It is most notably used by Gora Vur's private military and security forces, but has also been exported in limited numbers.

Inspiration and Background Information:
Various parts of this weapon have been inspired by PP-19 Vityaz, AM-17 and Galil ACE, however, many features are original.
