It is is my first oil painting in more then 10 years. so be kind."Just think about that strange, incredible, unbelievable faith of a young girl. At fourteen years old she became the Mother of God and the Mother of men. She knew full well that people would not understand that she had conceived by the Holy Spirit. For a long time after her marriage to Joseph she must have been the talk of the town. In those days the women used to wash their linens in ponds. When she brought her linen I'm sure people began to whisper about her. I can just see those gossipy women. But Our Lady never said anything. She was the woman wrapped in silence. "

have u ever seen the opera, "madame butterfly"? i did about a year ago...this painting reminds me of it so much...the main character was a young girl torn apart by love...i love this...you are an amazing painter...keep going!

Your work is something remarkable, gourgious is more the word.
My eyes can be soften now form all the stress of my day job. I like the strokes, and i like the movement of the Painting.
It most have taken alot of time for it to dry I believe.

it caught my eye, im not sure if it was the expression on her face or the colors. i like how the background ties into her face, it comes together that way. seems like shes sinking in, giving in to the silence that envelops her.

A really interesting choice of colours in this one... quite "risky", I would say, but you managed to pull it off quite naturally. Somehow, you make the colours complement each other, highlighting her face.

looks really nice man, slighty medus esque!!?? very well painted tho, nice depth and texture to it. even tho uve used cold blue's it still stays quiete warm and welcoming.

so are acrylics. and they dry faster...which is either good or bad, depending on technique
