Tutorial took me about three hours to do, mainly because I had to write the tutorial out. XDThis was drawn mainly cause there were no tutorials on how to draw Sea Foam (That I could find) using Photoshop. I've had some minor experience when I was learning how to Oil paint with my grandma three years ago at how sea foam is made using real paint, but a brush loaded with paint and daubed around didnt quite work right on photoshop. So, while working on a picture that I have been practicing for (those who watch me have seen sneak peeks -- it involves my tropical water dragon Alohuaki), I played around and lucked out on my first attempt of making it. The technique made me squee in joy. One of my friends told me they wanted to know how to do it since they had been trying for a while, so I figured "I need to share this with the world, since there doesnt seem to be anything about it here in Deviantart.

It's a nice tutorial. Really helped me draw foam. But not only foam, I used the brush with the metioned settings also to make clouds.

Actually Miss Mindsed, sea foam is all the organic waste that the ocean is attempting to get rid of by oxygenization up to the surface of the water. It is what is referred to as skimming by salt water tank keepers such as myself...
Therefore..FEAR..FEAR THE FOAM!

Hey, I can see this helping! I have neither a tablet nor photoshop7, but this has certainly inspired me to draw some crashing waves.

If you have higher photoshops (or I think a few lower allow for it) You can also just change pen size over and over again -- it takes longer, but it gets the work done

I shall try! :3 I dont do that many tutorials, cause I usually keep it to things that are not as commonly shown, like Sea Foam or bubbles. Its more specialized, but it helps more then the usual "how to draw eyes" type tutorials since there is nothing out there about it.

Im glad that this and the bubble tutorial are helping you! Thats the main reason why I created the tutorial -- I couldnt find any really really good tutorials on how to make bubbles or Sea Foam in a more realistic manor, which ment you had to use cartoony brushes and methods in your realistic pictures, which just didnt work. Since no one had made a tutorial on how, I figured I should share what I discovered with everyone so they too dont have to spend several hours trying to figure out how.
