Description
After Scar’s reign, Simba brought peace back to the pride lands. Shortly after, him and Nala had their first cub and named him Kopa. Word about the evil kings reign and birth of the prince traveled throughout the land far beyond the pride lands. It didn’t take long for the news to reach two specific rogues who waited far too long for this day. Ni took his son home immediately, eager for him to finally meet his mother and family. Mheetu was ecstatic! He waited for this day his entire life!
Back at the pridelands, the young prince was bored. During Scar’s reign not many Cubs were born except his own off spring, Nuka, who was not fond of the prince at all. Scar’s old mate, Zira, was pregnant but still had some time till her due date. But knowing his luck it was only going to be another Nuka. The prince needed friends. He was lonely. One day however his wish came true.
Ni let out a roar as he reached the border. Simba was the first to hear it and immediately assumed it was a intruder. He ordered a small group of Lionesses and Nala to follow him while Kopa stayed back at pride rock with his mother Sarabi. Upon reaching the border, Simba let out a low growl to Ni who simply smiled and bowed at the king, Mheetu doing the same.
“It can’t be…” Nala said under her breath as she ran up to the rogue immediately with a wide smile.
She nuzzled him making the king immediately jealous and super confused. “Nala?? Who is this?”
She looked back her mate tears welled up in her eyes.
“Simba.. this is Ni…” she looked down at the younger lion who was raising a eyebrow at the lioness. “And I assume this is my little brother. Mheetu.”
“Y-you’re my sister?..” Mheetu grinned widely embracing her immediately. “I’m so happy to finally meet you!”
“I’m confused..” Simba spoke up. “I never knew you had a brother..”
“I’ll explain on the way back home Simba.” She answered, “but first. My mother would love to see you both.”

Back at pride rock the curious prince managed to sneak away from his grandmother to find out what the commotion was all about. However he wasn’t expecting them to return so fast and knew he would be in trouble upon seeing the group from afar.
“Oh no!” Kopa exclaimed turning around to book it back to the den but he didn’t get far.
“Kopa!” Simba shouted to his son from afar letting out a small sigh.
The cub froze in his tracks. “Busted.” He sighed.
“Whoa! A cub! You know I’ve never really gotten to officially meet someone young like me!” Mheetu exclaimed excitedly. The only lion he ever knew was his father after all. Kopa might’ve been younger but to Mheetu it was only a few seasons.
“Yes! That’s my son Kopa.” Nala smiled at her brother.
“Yes getting himself into trouble.” Simba smiled shaking his head.
“Wow! That’s amazing Nala!” Ni smiled looking down at his son. “Hear that son, you have a nephew!”
“A nephew? Wow I guess I do!” Mheetu exclaimed running off from the group and straight to the cub.
Kopa’s eyes widened when he noticed the unfamiliar adolescent running up to him.
“Hey!” Mheetu shouted jumping in front of the cub with a wide smile and sitting down. “You’re my nephew!”

This is my take on Kopa. I might end up changing design some but for now here it is. I know a lot of people tend to make him browner but I always like leaning towards him having more of Simba’s color since in the book both the lions were browner. It was more of the books style in my opinion. But I gave him a lighter shade sorta like Nala if that makes sense 😂. We already knew Mheetu’s design but here he is as a adolescent. I hope you enjoy!
