STORY
All the hyenas of the shadow clan were resting in the shade under a giant tree when the lions came. It started with a load roar from the leader of the lion guard. All the hyenas heads shot up immediately. They gasped in unison seeing their leader, Badru, and Beno being escorted by the guard to their location.

"Oh great what has she done now?" One of the hyenas spoke up.

Askari stood in front of the clan and the three hyenas that betrayed the pride lands.

"Hyenas of the shadow clan, I have some horrible news that will only effect you." He growled as he spoke. "As you can likely tell, your dear matriarch has once again broken a law of the land."

Lamia snarled at him making Askari grow angry. Using his right paw he shoved her head down onto the ground and held her there to show he wasn't to be messed with. The clan gasped.

"This law however was far beyond anything any animal has ever attempted. So under order of the king all hyenas are now banished from the pride lands!" Askari shouted so everyone would hear.

Their eyes widened and jaws dropped. Badru and Beno lowered their heads in shame.

"B-but where will we go?!" One of the hyenas asked shakily.

"Oh the king had a wonderful idea for that." Askari answered, "My guard and I shall escort you all at once, and don't try anything funny..." He growled as he finished the sentence.

The lions surrounding Badru and Beno dispersed to surround the entire clan instead. Askari continued to hold Lamia down until they were ready. Lamia kept a snarl on her face but stayed quiet knowing she had failed. As soon as the lions dispersed Badru quickly ran over to a certain female hyena who he knew as his best friend. Her face remained in shock.

"Badru..." She said softly as he approached. "W-what happened?"

Badru laid his ears back. "Safika... I can explain."

A lion growled behind him causing him to jump.

"Form a tight circle." The lion ordered.

Badru nodded sheepishly and circled up with the rest of the clan.

"I'll explain on the way." He whispered to Safika.

"Ready when you are, Askari." One of the guard members spoke and Askari nodded finally letting Lamia stand.

"You will stay close to me." Askari growled at the matriarch.

As the clan was escorted to their new home Badru managed to tell the entire story to Safika. The female growled to herself fully understanding this was the wretched matriarch's fault. She looked over at Badru's side to see the fresh bite mark that was too small to come from a lion and then looked back at Beno noticing his chewed off ear.

"She did that to you and Beno too?" Safika asked her face still scrunched up in anger.

Badru nodded in response.

Safika striked the ground with claws as they walked angrily. "I swear this will be the last time she hurts us ever again."

Badru's eyes widened. "What do you mean Safika?"

Finally everyone made it to the graveyards borders and all the hyenas gasped.

"Welcome to your new home, hyenas." Askari announced smirking back at the clan.

"H-how do you expect us to survive here?" A random male asked.

"How will we feed our young?" A expecting mother wept.

"Maybe your matriarch should've considered this before attacking a member of the royal family." Askari answered which shocked the clan. He shoved Lamia towards the clan harshly causing her to fall and slide in the group. "If you want to blame anyone. Blame her."

The hyenas looked down at her with pure disappointment and shame. While Safika looked at her with pure anger.

"Oh. I will." Safika replied to herself.

A few hours passed and the clan was trying to get used to their new home. They felt lost and hopeless. No one managed to even speak to their matriarch mostly because everyone was afraid of her. Lamia herself was disgusted in her self for failing. She didn't really care about the fact everyone was mad at her but she did hate herself for bringing the clan she was supposed to lead into such a horrible place. Under a random ribcage, Badru and Safika laid. Safika licked the males bite that the matriarch had left him, properly cleaning it for him. Badru whimpered sadly not from pain but for the same reason as everyone else. He couldn't help but blame himself for playing a part in this. Safika caught on to this and nuzzled her friend.

"Don't blame yourself Badru." She spoke to him softly. "There was nothing you could do. You were merely following orders."

He let out a deep sigh. "She has led us to our doom."

Safika snarled and stood up. "Don't worry. I'm going to set things right."

His eyes widened again. "Do you mean you're going to challenge her?"

Safika smirked at him in response.

Badru stood up beside her. "I'll be there to support you then."

Lamia strolled through the graveyard her head held low. She approached a giant elephant skull and gazed upon it with a deep frown. Out of the shadows behind her two hyenas approached. She shot a glance back at them but looked away immediately.

"What do you two want?" Lamia growled.

Safika stepped forward from behind. "You have hurt us for the last time Lamia."

The matriarch frowned looking back at them again but not turning around. "Careful girl..."

Suddenly it started to rain and Badru growled at the matriarch with Safika.

"You don't have the right to order me anymore!" Safika stood on her hind legs her teeth ready to draw blood. "THIS IS THE END OF YOUR RULE!!!"

but this is the hyenas side of the story. Finally we get to see Lamia's design and are introduced to Safika. I think it's pretty obvious who she will end up being. Also I changed Badru's colors to give more "diversity". I hope everyone enjoys the story!
