Description
In my AU Taka(aka Scar) was born small, weak, and sick. In order to save their cub, Uru left the pride lands right after him and mufasa were born, to take Taka to the tree of life. Mohatu, her father, left with her and Taka while Ahadi stayed at priderock with young Mufasa. Unfortunately Mohatu didn’t make it home during the journey but Taka on the other hand was saved by a couple of baboons who lived at the tree (one of the baboons being rafiki) and also by the pride living at the tree of life. This pride really had young Taka excited to be a prince as he got to see what a kingdom was like at the tree of life. However Mohatu and Uru decided it would be best to wait until they would return home to break the news that even though he is a prince, he was not next on line to be king. Mufusa who was training to be king during this time was very excited and proud to be future king but never felt complete without his mother and brother being gone of whom he never got to know. Finally, after laying her father to rest, Uru and Taka made it back home to pride rock. Taka, who was still heartbroken from loosing his grandfather was still excited to finally come home and to see his kingdom. But his hopes and dreams were crushed immediately after hearing he had no shot at becoming king. Ahadi and Uru were too distracted in one another to hear Mufasa reveal this to Taka so they are oblivious to his sadness.
