Description Story:
Mohatu became king of the pridelands after he had convinced all the animals to follow his rule, in return he would protect them under strict hunting regulations and rules. The animals came to respect Mohatu and his rules, except for the hyenas of the pridelands. The hyenas had lived on these lands far longer than the lions and always had some tense conflicts with the generations of lions before Mohatu. But to be under the rule of lions, having to follow their laws, this was unacceptable. The current matriarch of the hyena clan was ruthless and unfair. She despised the lions and was more and more angered whenever Mohatu and his siblings would find her breaking one of his precious laws and being punished. Perhaps Mohatu gave the clan too many chances. He decided they would only have one more strike before being banished from the pridelands. Little did he know how far they would go.
It was a sunny afternoon in the pridelands and little Uru, the one and only daughter of the king, decided to go on adventure on her own, without her fathers consent. Mohatu was currently patrolling the borders with his brother, Askari, and left his daughter under the care of his sister. But Asha was busy watching out for her own family and didn't notice little Uru slip away until it was too late. Without a mother, Uru found it easy to do this from time to time, this only being like the 3rd time she managed to explore by herself. This time however Uru ran into some very bad luck. At this very moment Uru was so far from priderock the she couldn't even see it anymore. She was proud of herself for being so brave and managing to once again out smart the pride. Unfortunately though she came into view of a certain matriarch who was resting under some shade with her two male "goons" who she considered to be worthless. The hyena recognized the cub immediately to be the daughter of the king. She whispered to one of the males to check the area for any adult lions and when he returned after just a few moments to confirm she was alone, The matriarch striked. Uru never even saw her coming. The hyena grabbed the cub by her neck and ran as fast as she could away from the pridelands, where no one would hear her cries. Of course Uru was screaming and crying for help but no one was close enough to hear at that moment. The matriarch and her goons ran pass the border and fled to the one place no one would hear her cries. The elephant graveyard. She dropped the cub harshly, letting out a small laugh.
"W-what are you going to do me..?" Uru asked shakily cowarding down to the hyena.
"Now that's no way to introduce yourself child." The hyena frowned, "My name is Lamia and I am the leader of my clan. Now tell me your name."
Uru swallowled deeply, "I-im Uru... daughter of the k-ing, and if you don't want to get in trouble you should just let me g-"
Lamia let out a loud laugh interupting the cub. "Let you go?" she leaned in closer to the cub, "Why little one you're my ticket to power."
Uru's eyes widened now fully realizing the danger she was in. Her heart pounded fast and more tears ran down her cheek. She panicked and tried to make a run for it before she was blocked by one of the other males.
Taking a deep breath she did the only other thing she knew to do. Screamed for help. The three hyenas laughed as they let her scream.
"Oh little one." Lamia laughed. "Your screams can't be heard from here.
Ahadi was a rogue who recently had lost everything he had ever known. For the first time in his life he was truly alone. He was a very malnourished young lion who was desperate for something to eat. He found himself near the borders of the pridelands but by the scent in the air he knew lions already claimed the territory. All he ever knew was ruthless lions so he didn't dare cross and instead roamed around the border hoping to find anything he could manage to catch. He could barely believe his eyes when he came across a baby antelope that got separated from it's herd. The baby cried for it's mother not noticing Ahadi who lowered himself into the tall gasslands. This one was small enough for him to catch alone. It was just what he had been praying for. He got closer and closer to the baby antelope when all of a sudden a loud scream echoed through the land. The baby took off and Ahadi immediately pounced forward after it when a second scream echoed causing him to slow down but only slightly. This time he could've swore he heard the word "HELP" from the scream. The lion shook his head and tried to focus again on the antelope that was nearly getting away. As he drew closer to the baby he couldn't get his mind off the cry for help. His mothers words echoed through his head. "Ahadi, your name, it means promise. I want you to promise me to always protect those that need it." He growled at himself before coming to a sudden stop letting the antelope get away.
"Now what direction did that come from." he sighed making his way towards the elephant graveyard, he didn't even know existed. On top of a cliff that towered over the graveyard he could make out a good portion of the area.
"creepy.." he said to himself when all of a sudden he heard that same cry again.
He turned sharply towards the crying and his eyes widened. Three hyenas had one small cub cornered and who knows what they were planning. The young lion didn't waste anytime and slid down the cliff into the graveyard itself.
"Boys split up," Lamia barked at the male hyenas, "One of you go tell the clan of the good news.. the other tell the king I have a deal to make with him."
The males nodded neither of them wanting to face the king so they would have to decide upon themselves who would go.
"No, you!" One yelled.
"No way! You're bigger!" the other rebutted.
"Well you're faster!"
Lamia rolled her eyes turning away from the cub to yell at her worthless males.
"This is my chance..." Ahadi thought to himself.
He creeped past the arguing group of hyenas and approached the cub.
Uru's eyes widened and she let out a gasp when he grabbed her by her neck and made a run for it.
Lamia was busy screaming at her subordinates when one noticed the rogue grab the cub.
"Er- boss?" he spoke up.
"WHAT?!" She barked in his face.
He pointed at the rogue taking off with the princess. Her eyes widened and she growled again.
WELL WHAT ARE YOU DOING JUST STANDING THERE?! GO AFTER THEM!"
The males nodded and chased after the two.
Ahadi might've been smaller but that only made him faster. He held the crying cub tightly in his mouth so she wouldn't slip out of his mouth. Uru was in pure shock and didn't know rather or not to trust this random lion but he was her only hope.
The hyenas were persistent and wouldn't give up. "I've got to loose them." Ahadi thought. He tried weaving through the giant bones which actually managed to trip one of the males up. He kept running but his starved body started growing weaker. He heard the lion's laugh come closer and closer so he pushed himself harder. He thought he might collapse when suddenly the hyena gasped and stopped to run in the opposite direction. Ahadi was looking back at him confused when all of sudden he slammed straight into a solid object. Luckily his head was turned so the cub didn't get into the impact, but he surely did. He was dazed and confused and stood back up dropping Uru gently who cried harder but happily. He finally opened his eyes when he heard her cry, "Daddy!!!"
He saw the cub hugging the leg of a giant grown lion who was staring at him with pure anger. Mohatu wrapped his paw around Uru and let out a deep roar at the rogue causing his body to freeze.

*********************

So this is the story of how Ahadi met Uru. This is based off the same idea from albinoraven666fanart but with my own ideas and characters. I like to think this is why the hyenas became banished from the pridelands and why the lions are raised to hate hyenas especially the sons of Uru and Ahadi. As for the picture, who knows if I will ever get better at backgrounds  but I like the characters! The hyena in the picture by the way, has some significance. I won't reveal what however.   We just know him as one of the "wothless" males for now. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
