Description
This almost killed me. :/ But I hope it helps you and others who want to use these programs but don't know how to install the program.Sorry that it gets repetitive at times. But that's all you need to do; download the needed components, download the program in .zip file form, unzip the .zip file/copy and paste the files and run the program.
I've added all the Set Up downloads in the description if for some reason you cannot click them. However, please remember that I am not the link fairy. If something doesn't work for your system then google another version of it e.g. x64bit/x86bit. I am also not responsible for making sure links are working.
Likewise you can also google PMDeditor or MMD and you will probably find links to the programs. Again I am not the link fairy.
ALSO FOR PMXEDITOR
When you go to click it and open it, it will take a while to load, and it will probably result in error dialogues (missing .dll's) when it is opening. Just close the windows and PMXeditor should open as normal.
Note: If one download doesn't get one of the programs to work e.g. PMDeditor, then it won't hurt to install another package e.g. .NET Framework 3.5 (Package includes 2.0) and .NET Framework 3.5 (Service Pack 1).
Your computer will tell you if somethings already installed on it, so don't worry about it overwriting something important because it won't. It'll just cancel the installation if it already has the following programs installed on it.
That's what kept happening with me with Windows7 and PMXeditor. I had everything needed for it to work, I just needed SlimXD.
Downloads
Please note that latest computers may have all the .NET Framework's already installed on the system. My Windows7 does.

See, the problem I'm having is that nothing is opening at all with the PMX. Like, I double click it to open it, and it acts like it will, but then it never does. I can't seem to find anything on this issue.

Help plz?
Ok, so I got PMX Editor (the newest Japanese version), and tried to open it after I extracted the files. However it kept saying that I needed to extract the files, even though they were extracted! I tried everything I could; re-downloading, websites, different .zip opening programs, etc. Can I get some help, please?

When I downloaded MME, it wouldn't accept the .fx files, I NEED help!
π: 0 β©: 1
MarinKoi In reply to maikurial [2017-02-07 19:23:38 +0000 UTC]
the .fx files won't open alone, you have to set them to a .pmx or .x file

maikurial In reply to MarinKoi [2017-02-07 19:50:23 +0000 UTC]
But, how do I do that, exactly?

MarinKoi In reply to maikurial [2017-02-08 03:15:33 +0000 UTC]
Click on "MMEffect" in the top right corner > "Effect Mapping (M)" > select the model/stage/thing to which you want to apply the effect, then click "Set Effect" and choose what you want. But still some .fx effects won't work on models because they're made to complete .x effects. (water, falling effects, butterflies, etc, not made to be on models just on themselves)
Extra: if you select a model (in the effect mapping menu) with the right button and click "Subset-Extract (E)", you will be able to apply effects to the parts of the model/thing separately. Example of use, once my sister asked me to make a "chocolate Len" with the effects and using that option I could give different chocolate colours the details on his clothes, it's also useful for luminous effects and such.
you're welcome and if there's anything more you want to know just ask
