Description
This almost killed me. :/ But I hope it helps you and others who want to use these programs but don't know how to install the program.Sorry that it gets repetitive at times. But that's all you need to do; download the needed components, download the program in .zip file form, unzip the .zip file/copy and paste the files and run the program.
I've added all the Set Up downloads in the description if for some reason you cannot click them. However, please remember that I am not the link fairy. If something doesn't work for your system then google another version of it e.g. x64bit/x86bit. I am also not responsible for making sure links are working.
Likewise you can also google PMDeditor or MMD and you will probably find links to the programs. Again I am not the link fairy.
ALSO FOR PMXEDITOR
When you go to click it and open it, it will take a while to load, and it will probably result in error dialogues (missing .dll's) when it is opening. Just close the windows and PMXeditor should open as normal.
Note: If one download doesn't get one of the programs to work e.g. PMDeditor, then it won't hurt to install another package e.g. .NET Framework 3.5 (Package includes 2.0) and .NET Framework 3.5 (Service Pack 1).
Your computer will tell you if somethings already installed on it, so don't worry about it overwriting something important because it won't. It'll just cancel the installation if it already has the following programs installed on it.
That's what kept happening with me with Windows7 and PMXeditor. I had everything needed for it to work, I just needed SlimXD.
Downloads
Please note that latest computers may have all the .NET Framework's already installed on the system. My Windows7 does.

I seriously think MME is not compatible with Windows 8. I've installed three different versions of MMD, got the updated version of MME and i'm putting it in the right folder. I'm going to explode if I don't figure something out soon, my head hurts so bad because these STUPID PROGRAMS ARE GIVING ME MIGRAINES THE SIZE OF A BLUE WHALE.

Hey, just wanted to put this out there: if you install App Locale and use it with an unzipping program like 7Zip, then unzip the file using that, the file names will be intact and the popup dll error messages will go away.

Why does it always display .dll errors upon opening the program? Is that just a bug in the newest updated version or something?

Thank you! I couldn't figure out why PMX wasn't opening (since PMD ran fine), and I probably would have given up on it, except for your note about needing SlimDX. ^_^
As a note, the only SlimDX I had to download was the top '2.0' and it opened fine. (Except for the dll file messages... but those are okay to ignore, right?)

Hello, this guide is really awesome, thanks for uploading it ^_^)
But I can't use MME...
I used to be able to use any of the effects... But some day when I tried to add the effects, I saw that there is no more "MMEffect" button on the corner... So the effects didn't work...
I tried to download the MMD and MME again, and unzip the files etc. again but it didn't work.
I tried same thing with different versions of MMD too but I couldn't see that MME button.
What should I do? The dll files, 3 of them are in the MMD folder too, which has mikumikudance.exe in it.
Do you know what is my problem?
Sorry for the bad English orz

Oop, never mind. I finally found where I'd seen how to fix it so long ago.
For anyone else who has this problem, the solution is so simple you'll want to slap yourself . . . After you've downloaded all the needed files, download the zip to your desktop (easiest way to do this, from what I've found), then BEFORE you unzip it, right click the file, go down to Properties, then click "Unblock" in the box that pops up. Then unzip your file and try it out.

I keep getting a long string of .dll errors, even though I've downloaded and installed everything. It keeps saying:
*name of .dll file*
Could not load file or assembly *file name and location* or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515)
I've fixed this before, but it's been so long since I last downloaded PMD, I don't remember how. (And I think it was just a fluke that I fixed it in the first place.)
Uh . . . Any ideas?

"d3d9.dll is not the way of the program" (warning: it was a translator)
It happens when I extract MME files into the folder. That's an error, it won't let me even open MMD. Renaming file or deleting it from the folder removes the problem and MMD work again but without effects, of course.
What do I do? Anyone had got any idea? Pretty please?

On the x64 bit version of MMD, it keeps preventing me from using the Render to AVI option by telling me the file MMDxShow.dll connot be found. I tried replacing the file several times, but it doesn't seem to work. Do you have any adivce?

Are you sure you installed everything needed that I included in the tutorial? Because at first I thought that I had everything too, but I didn't install SlimDX. So it wouldn't work and kept doing what yours does.
Also, on a side note PMXeditor will only actually work on Windows7 64 bit (only).

Okay try installing it. As to which one to download....I seriously just downloaded all of them on that page; [link] where it says End User Runtime.
Oh and don't worry if when you install it and you open PMXeditor all these errors come up about .dlls. Just click okay and once they've all gone away it should open.
