Description An older pen and ink (with gold ink) of a greenman with a Celtic theme. One of my old favorites. I think this was done in 1996. I will try to get a better scan up soon.
I have a total greenman obsession.

Impressive. I love how the gold ink hints of Autum.

One of my favorite things to draw is the Green Man. I do a lot of Celtic Knot working too. This picture is absolutely awesome. Keep up the good work.

this is amazing. I had the opportunity to indulge in the festivitys to celebrate the greenman in the UK last year, interesting little festivals i must say.... brilliant piece though, simply amazing.

This looks really awesome. Knotwork is like another language to me. This must have taken an incredible amount of patience. I really like the bits of gold pen to do the highlighting. It reminds me of an old illuminated manuscript or something, like a page out of Kells.

Fine and beautiful work. I was always interested in Celtic designs, this has an air of mystery and otherworldliness.

Cool! I love the antlers. Symbolic of Cernunnos?

Ah, your greatness knows no bounds

Symbolic of Cernunnos?

Well...YEAH.

Funny story.
I wore a T-shirt with this on it to a barbecue restaurant once. One of the server guys started freaking out and saying "El Diablo! El Diablo!"

We eventually calmed him down, saying it wasn't.

Which is really weird because in that part of town people wear stuff with "traditional" devils on them fairly often.

Just...odd.

Maybe it was 'cause I was a girl?

How odd! Cernunnos doesn't look like the devil ... well, maybe. I suppose horns is horns in some areas

A similar thing happened to me - I'd bought a bag and a T-Shirt from a stall in Rochester during the May Day festival. About a year later I was in London in a cafe, wearing both, and some middle-aged guy came up to me and asked me where I got them. It was weird, cos the way he sounded it seemed like he thought I'd stolen them! But it wasn't as bad as all that - he was actually the guy who made them! So I was like a walking advertisement for him
