Description
The techpriests were both kept in basic armor plated rooms, designed for hereteks and rife with the scrawlings of former deranged prisoners. Then here was Kerrun. As psyker, despite his otherwise good record, he was subject to the highest scrutiny, chained up and immobilized in a dark room, with steady stream of drugs as both his nutrients and a means of keeping his mind inactive and far from the light of the throne.

Based on the highly disciplined nature of the Inquistion I can only assume that the Daemon Hunters are interested in drugs because they are all secret hardcore junkies. Or in desperate need of steroids.

I suggest checking to ensure that you, yourself, are not part machine. A good clue would be arousal whilst reading electrical goods catalogues.

Out of curiosity, what level are these guys at this point in the story? ^_^
And, in case this shows up twice, the first post didn't go through according to Explorer (which is why I use Firefox at home).

At this point we had all spent our starting 400xp plus the 150 we generously got from the prolgue so we were all level 2.

This entire scene feels familliar somehow. I spy inspiration! Hope Doomrider and you dont mind that.
Anyway Skub sounds like those DeathSticks from Project Eden - and I cant help thinking that Kronus is getting the sharp end of the stick for his past transgressions. Well I guess that fate points for ya (or is it Karma?) and I have to mention your GM truly is magic - setting you up for a top secret mission behind enemy lines involving a top secret Stealth Valkyrie whose stealth didn't work then to get attacked by zombies then to crash then to end up on Scintilla for a different mission all together - unless the DM has in fact been linking all the events together into a single plot twisting event but he would have to be some kind of tactical genius...

If this scene is inspired by anything its so deeply lodged in my subconscious that I can't extract it. no one creates in a vaccum though and I'm sure this scene has played out thousands of times before.
Also, Kerrun's only prior transgression is "being a psyker" its Darraj who's getting the high voltage as a thankyou for making not one, but two visits to the inquisitions bad books.

Hmm, sounds reasonable for certain. Besides Torture scenes are as old as the hells, so I hope you wont mind if I borrow some inspiration from this.
Ah yes, soz I meant Darraj - I called him Kronus didnt I? - I sure hope Kerrun and Darraj get out of this in one piece as they are my favorite characters so far.

Flects are shards of glass that gazed up at the Eye of Terror from a particular destroyed city - if you look directly at them, you get a delirious, incredible reflection of the Warp that is still trapped within them.
