Techpriests (there are 2) are okay in combat, assassins can be okay. Besides that we'll just have to hope the psyker gets perils of the warp and explodes on our enemy.

Not that strange.
In the group I GMed, the party won fights... I think 2 times due to Perils of the Warp results.
First time was due to the one where the gravity gets inverted for a few turns. The party where all in a low ceiling corridor, the bad guys were spread out in a cavernous hangar. You get the picture.
Second time was the Mass Possession one. Only enemies were caught within the radius off effect.
