Another two-page spread for 6-Commando, [link]

This is the proverbial shit hitting the fan, with the two sides in my alternate-universe Cold War starting an atomic exchange. The outcome of all of this begins in Chapter 3, which I'll be starting up sometime in early May, once I've done the last page of this chapter and taken a few weekends off to do some traveling.

This was my most popular set of pages so far. I know that 5,000 hits in a day from 600 computers is next to nothing in the world of webcomics, but to me it was a real thrill, and it generated some serious comment and conversation on my site that was terrific!

I admit that I had mixed feelings about this page, even though it's not overtly violent. I, personally, am both a semi-pacifist and a conscientious objector, and so drawing a military comic in which lots of people get horribly injured is a weird thing for me. Hell, my main character has had her eye removed, half her body burned, and been irradiated, and that's just the first two chapters. But still and all, I think the chapter is ending strong for me, so whatever one's opinions on war, it is at least dramatic enough for my sensibilities.

And if anyone can tell, blue is my favorite color, even as a backdrop to atomic warfare!
