Hah! Unfortunately, it's a Spanner Missile with a HESFLRP warhead. Does 8d6 damage at ten hexes or less.

This guy is in a spot of trouble! It looks like some of the urban war zones in Syria...
As for the technique, I like that you've faded out the line art and color in the deep background of panel one, Mathieu. This makes the panels easier to view. I also like that you are leaving the backgrounds for the rest as line art with just some basic color/toning.
It's really interesting to see complex art on top of much less complex art for some reason to me. Is that because you have replicated a depth-of-field with this complex-to-simple visual technique?

Well, if you don't lighten up your linework as it recedes into the background, it can easily turn to mush when you reduce the size of the drawing for publishing. I try very hard to add as much detail as I can all the time, but one can go overboard with that very easily, as I've done on other comics I work on, such as Lift and Hotel Metropolitan, to the extent that I've considered simplifying the style on those others somewhat, especially Lift. And I have always tended to draw my backgrounds with somewhat less color definition as well, to punch my foregrounds up. The greatest contrast is always between what's closest to the frame of reference and what's farthest from it. I like it because it gives 6-Commando a cel-shaded "cartoon" look that I've always been reaching for - this set of pages is one of the closest to the mark on that, so far.
