Description
This is one of the longest sequences I've ever done in 6-Commando without any dialogue at all, but I think it worked out fairly well. LikeΒ said with the previous pages, this chapter is ending strong - it's a set of scenes I've been working up to for a very long time, heavily symbolic and very important to the plot, and anchoring the first "Act" of the story.Β I'm beginning to think I might actually pull this off.Related content

I follow quite a few webcomics here on dA, and I must say I'm happy to have found 6-Commando, MrAverage. This latest page is stunning.
One thing I can tell, is that you've put a lot of emotion and heart into it. The story and characters have so much feeling and warmth in them, that they feel almost real. The pace of the comic and panel layouts communicate a high degree of belief the artist has for it. I just want to say do keep the spirit up and please give us more. I for one, am looking forward to it.

Wow.Β I'm taken aback, man, thank you - it's very kind of you to say.Β I always feel edgy about my own work, as though I haven't got it right, or haven't gone far enough.Β I mean, I know it's all a process and one can always do better, but still, I often feel, after finishing a page, like "I have failed - I should have done this or that better or differently."Β It's probably a feeling common to a lot of people who try to do this kind of thing, but it's still very genuine.Β And so, it's extraordinarily kind and supportive of you to say that, and it gives me confidence that I am at least meeting some of my goals.Β Thank you so much!

You're welcome. I understand the way you feel, as I also undergo the same thing every time I share my finished work with the world. I would always find something to improve on, something that could've been done differently, that nagging voice at the back of my head always screaming that 'this should've been better', 'that should've been better'. It's facepalm after facepalm. But so long as we both soldier on and keep producing artworks with courage, I believe we're staying on the right path.
Glad to give my fellow artists the support whenever I can! Always excited to see what other people come up with. Keep doing those comics!

You know your longarms.Β Most people would call it an AK-47.Β Subtlety is everything.

That flag is that she has on is it her nation or the FSR?

It's the flag of her nation, which is part of the FSR.Β Unlike the USSR, the FSR in my 6-Commando world goes to greater lengths to assert that its members are independent nations, even though they're not.Β It's part of the idea of a world dominated by World War I style alliance systems instead of by single titanic superpowers.
Colonel Talinina is from the Estonian Federative Democratic Socialist Republic.

I see is it fair to make a guess that the T-90 and the BTR80 are laden with wounded and dying?

Probably.Β I always have to draw the line somewhere when I'm doing these things on a tight schedule, as I usually am, but if I'd had unlimited time I'd have made the crowd bigger.
Ahh, revisions.Β I always feel like I've fallen short, every time I draw something.

Hah!Β Hardly.Β I've been obsessing about it continuously since I posted it.Β It's a bad habit of mine to continuously second-guess the excruciating minutiae of every single decision I make about everything.
It's all on me - you're in the clear, I assure you!

Cool since I am in the clear Assault weapon the UNA uses since Germany is out of the picture I think the REC7 by Barret or the LWCR M6 carbine would be used by them when their infantry isn't in their power suits?

UNA troops no longer fight without battle armor, and haven't since the 1970's.Β But when they DID, the last "small arms" assault rifle they used was the Nordyne/H&K G-11C Caseless Personal Assault Weapon.
