Description
More pages of Lift, in progress. Like most everything I do, it's an alternate-universe. Why? I don't know. Because alternate universe stories were always my favorite ones on Star Trek when I was a kid, and now there's nobody to tell me not to. Plus, airships are awesome. And so are flying wings.Related content

Thanks! This comic is on a very - VERY - slow burn, but it's going to happen eventually!

Yes, it is! I'm working on it (slowly at the moment) but it is on the board, here.

Also, flying boats are awesome. They might be a dime a dozen in your Alt World.

Oh, my goodness, yes, they are. Flying boats all up and down the coast.

Wow. That looks just soooo damn cool. Love all those little details here. Reminds me actually of the game 'Crimson Skies' . ^.=.^

Thanks. And Crimson Skies (the board game) was one of my favorites of all time, ever-ever. So it is definitely an inspiration.

The attention to detail is flabbergasting. That's a technical term.

I'm going to start working "flabbergasting" into my conversations.
6-Commando, being on a (basically) weekly schedule, often means making compromises to meet the deadline and keep the story moving. And although that has value in itself, it's nice to have something going that can just take as long as it needs to take to be right. It's hard to say if Lift will end up anywhere in less than a decade (I have a more-than-full-time job, as well as everything else), but still. It can just be what it needs to be.

alternate universes are awesome because nobody can tell you 'that doesn't exist' or 'never went into mass production' or whatever.
Same with magic.
'How does that work!?'
"(Space) Magic!"

Damn right. Also, alternate universes are kind of like a game - you set the rules and then see what happens when you follow it out logically. Which is fun to do, especially in a visual medium.
