Description
Another page from the 6-Commando Tactical Handbook. The tanks are shown in Peacemaker White, instead of the more common Mission Grey, as they appear in my comic (wink wink, nudge nudge, read the comic! [link] )The giant tank is an Echo-class Rumbler. Specifically, she is Juliet-Three-Echo, the "sister," so to speak, of the character Mike-One-Echo, seen in the story. She was going to appear, in an early draft, but she was edited out, in revisions. So now she has a life of her own, so to speak, in the Tactical Handbook. Julie-Three-Echo is Canadian, by the way.

Theyβre like mobile bunkers that can dominate a large area of a battlefield, or break through enemy lines and resist counterattacks in support of an armored advance.

You know, I've been meaning to do that...
Until then, you can check out this page from the comic I'm doing in this universe (the link goes to my comic's website): www.viciousprint.com/6commandoβ¦

Kind of you to say so! You might like the comic I draw that this is from, too - but there's a hefty dose of people who just dig the alternate-history, alternate- tech stuff as well, so I'm glad you dig it!

The Abrams doesn't exist in this world. The United Nations main battle tank is the M75A4 Sentinel, shown here, lower right.

Holy shit, How big of a tank is that? And how long do you think something like that would last before a 155mm Rain hit's it?

It's a VERY big tank. It's twice again as long as it is wide. And a 155mm strike would just make it angrier - they can (and do, int my comic) withstand atomic blasts.

Eh, that's taking it a bit too far. CIWS that can shoot down approaching tactical warhead? Maybe. But even the lowest yield tactical would be 15+tons in TNT equivalent. Plus the heat and radiation...

J3E's coax gun looks almost as big as HQ 874's MAIN gun.

Yes, it's mainly a fire support vehicle. It's an odd thing - it could fight other machines like itself, but there aren't any other machines like itself. It's part of a military tactical pattern called MOBAS, or MOBile Armored Strongpoint, where the supertank runs at range to provide heavy fire support for conventional troops it supports.
