yes, and no. I was wondering if i could make a piece that had an "indian" feel without actually using any indian imagery. It worked. Too well. Apparently any figure with an elephant head is now perceived as ganesh. Guess he's really penetrated the world psyche...so, in short, i didn't mean for it to be Ganesh, but i did mean for it to have the "feel" of an indian piece. ...make sense?

I think it's not just the elephant head, but the dressings he is wearing. But there are a lot of things like that. Certain things have certain connotations that we just can't get away from anymore.
