Description
Change folder group icon into Windows 7 Libraries Icon in XP.--------------------------------------------------------------
(Just try on Windows XP SP2)
(Work with ViGlance 1182 Lee-soft.com)
(Themes with Superbar by saintlouiss)
(Clock using TClock Lite)
First go to c:/windows
then go to tools, folder options, view tabs,
unchecked Hide extension for known file types, then ok.
Find explorer.exe rename it to [link]
(after that if Microsoft Wrong file popup please just cancel it)
Now copy my modify explorer.exe into c:/windows
After that just install Libraries Icon Activated.reg
Restart. After restart checked back Hide extension for known file types.
(The register key install will Activated the Library Icon on Grouping)
(Group by 2 open same folder)

no problemo....I'm dual booting Windows 7 with XP, have XP set up pretty much like 7 so I think it's cool how you managed to get the libraries icon into XP, was thinking of trying it myself until I Googled "Windows 7 Libraries in XP"....this came up as the first link.

I tried this twice on XP SP3 and sadly it did not work TT___TT the pc ugly icon's still showing up ::sigh::

sure but u must activated the reg key. to use it on grouping..it only can work on grouping mode. same do in Windows 7.

WMP icon can be exchange to the new icon with any resource hack..
and control panel need to change in shell32.dll
i will upload the changes if u want...

wmp do not need a reg key to install.. i will upload a guide to change the wmp and the control panel with other icon too.. but it take a while..

Dude i just found out it doesnt work? When i rename wmplayer.exe to wmplayer.exeold Then a new wmplayer.exe turn up in the WMP map? And if i put your icon into the map it says something like: The file wmplayer.exe has a version number of 11.0.538.4827 where 11-0-5721-5145 was expected.

your wmp says it is to old or you must have that wmp.exe (verision 6.1001.5699.) something like that...
use Reshack to change the Fileverision number.
had the same problem and it worked fine man

Just use ResHacker to change the icon on explorer.exe

i dont know where exactly to put it.
Explorer will change in ViGlance without activating the key. But without running ViGlance apps u must install the register key to have Libraries icon on grouping on normal.
