Thanx GΓΆkhan
I think they will change the recycle bin icon til the release. It's only a placeholder imo.

why they are using the oldie win98 like recycle bin icon?

PeterRollar In reply to RivenRoth740 [2012-02-17 21:47:49 +0000 UTC]
I have no clue. Maybe they use it as placeholder until the real one is finished.

I'm not really glad about all this Metro stuff. I still prefer the normal desktop view. Newer doesn't always mean better.

well, that win8 metro stuff....
i think what MS got ran out of ideas.
and they are trying to re-invent something what cannot be re-invented.
i mean, they got a journey to the past, and are trying to bring back windows 1.0 to this era.
something like that.
my 1st impression when i saw this metro stuff was: it looks like win95, but compatible with the new hardware.

You did a very good job on this! I love the icons. anyways, what do you think of the Windows 8 Designs so far? They're really taking a risk with the start menu UI and all that metro crap, and there are a LOT of people bitching but I have a feeling it will be like last time. Everyone complains/hates --> same people complaining are the same people buying. I dislike some things but I'm seeing a lot of Pros too. I just wish I could have all of the new, with the old >_>

Thanx I'm not sure for the Windows8 design. Til now it is not very userfriendly. For me it is easier to work with a mouse. I use a Plasma TV as monitor so i cannot use touchscreen functions. At the moment i see no need for a new OS. Windows7 works fast and stable.I will buy Windows8 anyways, but i'm not sure how often i will use it.I had Vista Ultimate and used it maybe 100 hours that's all. I deleted it for one of the first Win7 Betas, and never used it again.Hopefully Windows8 will not end the same way as a useless disc stored on a place i can't remember.

Hahahaha, I love how you said not. You aren't just bitching about things and pretending someone is forcing an 'upgrade' on you. I somewhat agree. I like the new start-menu but it seems to lack in certain areas. I'm going to use Windows 8 for the new features but I'm going to do the registry hack to use the normal start menu.

I bet it's just as a joke for now, they probably still have to design it. I'd bet that it's in there when the consumer preview is actually released.
