Description
Since Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is coming out in less than a month, I figured it'd be cool to make an OC Autobot just for fun.Modeled in Sketchup and rendered in Kerkythea.
--
Switchbrake was just an ordinary Energon supply deliverybot until a Decepticon ground detachment led by Soundwave attacked his Energon depot. Soundwave and his minions took whatever Energon they could find and left the area, leaving only a few unarmed Autobots to live. Luckily Switchbrake was one of them, and he quickly took up arms with other fellow Autobots to halt back the Decepticon incursions all across Cybertron. He and his squadmates fought around Iacon's outskirts, holding back Seekers from reinforcing Decepticon positions for as long as they could.
Switchbrake's vehicle form is a Cybertronian Hover Rig, which happened to be a common vehicle for delivering Energon. It has proved to be effective in combat due to its heavy armor, however at the cost of speed.
His weapons consist of dual-wield carbines, capable of dishing out many shots before overheating.
Motto: ''I once had a Decepticon friend. Had.''

I like that this is more in theme with the original (cartoon) series. In the movies, they seem to go for a bot form that is, for lack of better expression, inside out (too much extraneous detail).

G1 series was my inspiration. I cannot tell you how much I agree with your comment. The bots in the movies do not appear to have a ''solid'' form; no matter what angle you look at, the bots have so many pieces on their exterior that it feels like a mosh pit of pieces in a humanoid form.

Awesome job! I've tried with things like Lego Digital Designer to make my own transformable transformers, but it seemed practically impossible. So I'm really impressed you not only made a Transformer, but an OC Transformer; which means more creativity.

Thank you so much! And I can sympathize; I've toyed with LDD in the past. Making components to be able to move is quite difficult the last time I've used it, which is years ago.
