I love how this series has been all about us looking up - that Paris is so full of history that the history has been piled so high that we have to look up. The treatment you give these shots - the dark edges, the faded effects, the colors, the textures - make me think; part of me feels like I'm walking through a museum built in praise of history (the effects make me think of historical artifacts and faded photographs) and the other part of me feels something else - a kind of sadness - that Paris's history will fade away, perhaps due to pollution and other modern evils, but surely due to time and natural forces.

Looking up and in Paris, looking down, out or all around, there is so much history .... aesthetic history. I think it will last a while for it is well loved by all the world. On the other hand, one nasty bomb can devastate so much... look at parts of London...Germany ... and a great deal of Europe. It says something that even Hitler didn't destroy Paris. thanks for the wonderful reading.

I'm happy you like these. It is a series I decided to do...just to see if I could be persistent enough to do it.
