Description
These are the smallest of the tree spirits I have done so far, measuring just 9 1/2 inches tall including the base. They are two friends dancing together, I mean they are trees, and the have to get along don't they? It's not like they can pick up and move if they don't like their neighbors. They are both sculpted from Aves apoxie sculpt and polymer clay, with rose quartz and amethyst gemstone leaves. They are on eBay now [link]Related content

These are so lovely and creatively done! What a fantastic idea! I must try it... something similar anyway. What magnificent workmanship too! Did you make the wire tree and then sculpt over it with the clay, or did you make the faces separately? how did it all come together? I have done wire trees, and sculpting, but never combined. What a great idea

yeah it would look kind of cool to have something that looks like a bonzai, among real ones. Imagine the look on people's faces when they see faces there!

Pochahontis!!
Anyway, really really nice. It looks so smooth & perfect. I assume carving isn't very forgivable.

Thanks! Actually these were sculpted, not carved. Gawd I can't imagine how tough it would be to carve something like this!

No it's a sculpture made out of polymer clay, apoxie, and gemstones. Would be nice to grow them though, but I don't have much of a green thumb.

oh shit
that creeped me out. but very interesting. I think this captured the emotion as well as motion in dancing very good.
I would also like to point out how interestingly this is photographed, a black background. it made the figure stand out very well.
thank you for sharing and congradulation for daily deviation

Actually only about a week and a half. When I get started on something, I really work on it non stop till it's done. Mind you, that's about 14 hours a day for that week and a half.

For someone who sounds so down to earth, your sculpture soars Spirit high! I love gemstones and the use of those plus your wonderful tree spirits that dance together so exquisitely make my heart sing as I look at this!
You are indeed inspiring! And downright friendly-sounding as well! *.^
I will have to see more of your lovely creations!

I saw your work a while ago on elfwood!! The I saw it in the thumbnail for a DD and was like 'wow that looks awesome!' I didnt recognise it until I saw it on full view, great work, it looks like something youd see in a shop, I can hardly believe that someone actually made it!

This is sooo inspiring.
I don't really know what to say here, except that I've never really seen something like this before.
For some reason the face doesn't sit well with me, but I like the remainder.

No, not grown, just sculpted to look that way with gemstone beads for leaves. Didn't know you could grow a crystal tree though, I'd LOVE to see one!

Oh wow! I really, really love every single piece in your gallery. Usually, one piece stands out in a gallery for me to fav, but I frankly cant find one that I can choose over the other because they all blow me away! I adore each and every last one of your sculptures They are so... amazing! Leave me speechless with the awesomeness of them
So much attention to detail, and they all have so much character! Ultimetly, so I dont go and flood my favs with all of your gallery, I decided to choose the piece that orginally brought me here to your gallery
That would be this piece. I just love the feeling and scene it brings. It is so perfect in every way, from the choice of materials, to the colors used, and the emotions and theme of the piece. Just plain stunning!
, and please, by all means, keep these pieces coming! I really cant wait to see more~!
