Description
Can I say, holy *bleeeeeep*? o___o A DD?! Thank you so much everyone!Hello everyone!
It's my FIRST FLASH ever so I'm excited about finishing this. <3
This is a step-by-step all you need to know about how to draw a jellyfishes! 5 different jellyfish are introduced and made in this. A total of 89 pages are in this tutorial.
Credits are on the last page of the flash but as a reminder, my information source was basically Wikipedia. So if any of the information you read is incorrect, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to fix it.
Thanks a bunch! Please comment and let me know if it is helpful and what kind of tutorial you'd like to see from me next!

Congratulations on the dd!! I love jellies and the coloring job you did (especially with the crystal jelly- wonderful work!!)
Chironex fleckeri are special because they not only have 24 eyes (which form a ring all around their bodies, so they actually see 360 degrees around themselves), but four brains, as well! (that's what I learned in an article a few years ago, but I can't find it at the moment. here's an article describing their eyes in more detail, if you care: [link] )
ANYWAY. Fantastic!!

Honestly, this is a better digital painting tutorial than the actual painting tutorials out there.

Probably... But you see, colouring is my weekest point when it comes to art. I can do some cell-shading, but nothing better than that. I find it much easier to shade the black/white pencil sketches i always do >w<

Ahhhh. Sometimes it's better to build on your coloring in slow steps if you're feeling uneasy. Like lower opacity than some of the brushes I had used on this tutorial could help. ^^

Ah, that's good advice
My problem consisted in, that i wanted to draw a simple shape, as i have no tablet. Therefore i tried to draw the box jellyfish, as it didn't seem that hard to get right. Boy, was i wrong. I think i got lost in step three or four. XD I simply couldn't figure out how and where to brush out from the simple information "brush softly using the same colour" (not your fault, it's just me being retarded XD)
Perhaps i should just try my hands at something that's easier to colour than jellyfish? XD

Hmmm.
Perhaps try to do it in a different media? I used to mouse paint stuff and it was a million times harder to do than with a tablet.

I've never tried gimp before. o: Frankly I only heard of it a few weeks ago.
Leave "hints" that's your most desired present around the house. XD

Really? It's almost as good as photoshop, and free to download :3 UI use it for my photomanips, works great ^w^
hah, that would be fun XD Then i copuld print out a page with an awesome tablet on, and then my mother's be like:
"What's that?"
"Ooooh, nothing, just this tablet that i REALLY REALLY want. :3"
Or... Something like that. XD

Or even write a "dear santa... all I want for christmas is *pastes picture* this tablet 8D" and post several copies of it through the house. Haha.

Anatomy's important with drawing any creature, so thanks for making this...

I love that this tut isn't just so indepth to explain the anatomy of jellyfish, but it also introduces some digital painting techniques which I can apply to pretty much anything that's sheer/transparent that i didn't know how to use before. :I really really like this, awesome job!
