What happens when you neglect something in life because it's boring or irrelevant to your personal interest?What happens with suddenly that something becomes relevant? -When it determines whether or not you get to attend an event you've waited your whole life for?
What happens when you devote your full attention and time to that something with so much on the line-
-and you still fail?

I recall the one time I seriously studied for a Pre-Calculus test, as it would really boost my grade up, and failed. Barely passed the class. Only good part was that I was taking the class just to bring up my GPA. It wasn't needed to graduate. Still, I felt terrible.

I CAN SO RELATE TO THIS! In grade school especially I wasn't the best student. And I would try my hardest to study the material, and much of the time I either failed or got a really low grade and I would burst into tears just like Rainbow Dash. Very good work.

The weird thing about that is it goes away (well mostly) if you drop out of education all together. It's like you can only feel be bad about being behind someone if you're actively trying to catch up.

I am probably not the best to be critical over art when I rarely draw myself, but I will say that this is very good. You did a rather nice stylized version of the three characters. If I could say one thing it would be that Derpy has kind of a weird oversized look to it. I know it is meant to be the Chibi style but it still kinda looks too big and slightly too high on the left side of her face, or rather her right eye. Past that very good.
P.S. is this a purposeful harkening back to the simpsons? I seem to remember they did this same thing about 2 decades ago....and now i just dated myself. Sad

A D- ? that's it? granted it's not the best but it's slightly passable. I learned that really grades are more like ranks for high scores. it' doesn't mean your stupid it just shows how well you did. And yeah I hate that about some people, I study & work my butt off and get low grade, wile some idiot does nothing, sleeps through class, & generally acts like a idiot & slacker and HE GETS A "A"! I'm floored at this anomaly.

I love that you gave Derpy an A. It just shows just because she looks goofy, she is not stupid by any means. I don't know why everyone is so shocked by her A, is it because since she looks clumsy that means she has to be retarded? That isn't a fair judgment to make.
Otherwise, Dash is my least favorite, not just I don't like her as much as the other five, I just don't like her period. It takes a lot to make me feel for her, and this does the job fantastically. She probably loves the wonderbolts even at this age, and is probably the only one in her class who can't go, when she tried so hard. I feel for her. I was in the same boat once before.
