Also sorry for troubling you about the shoes rigging. It's not your problem.

Oh, phoo. Don't worry about it. You roused my curiosity. About the time they release the new Hexagon, I should have enough room on my plate to see how rigging is done in a modeling program. I have Blondie's tutorial on rigging, but never finished it. Her system is strictly in Studio, though. I would think that rigging and weight maps (which may actually be part of rigging) should be the cure for cross-generational shoe issues and mesh tearing on long dresses.

Great to hear that. Should spend some time learning hexagon too.

I use it for kitbashing sets and making morphs for clothes. Great way to cut down a gigantic set to just what fits inside the camera's view. I also used it to weld up the material zones in the Ultra Cowl masks for Katie and Steph. Those things broke apart when I applied a Smoothing Modifier. Apparently, the Cowl isn't one solid piece. It is now! From what I've seen, Hexagon can be used to make clothes, but it's four years old and isn't as powerful as Blender or Zbrush. On the other hand, it isn't as overwhelming as Blender to look at nor as expensive as Zbrush. The new release is exciting!

It's a great tool to compliment daz. However if you know it's strength, it's a powerful tool by itself.

Keep asking questions. Good things happen. Like more parts to this. Jog my platinum blonde hair.

LOL!
I appreciate you doing this. In fact, I used it this evening.

Thanks! All she's lacking at this point is the stars, but I need to find (and I never thought I'd find myself saying this) nipple covers, so that I can opacity map them into stars.

HA!

That's what Akizz is using now on Viona instead of Tanya. It takes an opacity map, and you can use the existing maps as templates. They're flat, so they benefit from building up a bump map and making a normal map from that. Unless you just want a flat overlay.
