Description
Assalaamu alaikum [Peace be to you],[For my brothers and sisters in Islam]
Many Non-Muslims don't know what Islam is.
Many Non-Muslims don't know that Islam is a faith of peace.
Many Non-Muslims don't know that Islam is against any form of terrorism.
Many Non-Muslims don't know that Islam is a rational faith that supports science and common sense and freedom of speech.
Many Non-Muslims don't know that Islam offers solutions to all problems of the world.
Many Non-Muslims don't know a thing about the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- and his beautiful teachings.
Many Non-Muslims don't know the difference between Islam and Muslim...
Many Non-Muslims don't know that so called Muslim countries are not ruling with true Islam.
Many Non-Muslims hardly know anything about the true Shariah...
Many Muslims often like to put the blame on the Non-Muslims for their ignorance.
But let's be frank. and let's not try to deceive ourselves...
Aren't we to blame for not doing enough to bring Islam to the world?
Aren't we to blame for not talking loud enough to reach the Non-Muslims?
Aren't we to blame for not giving the correct image of Islam to the world?
Aren't we to blame for not trying enough to practice the teachings of Islam the way they should be practiced?
Aren't we to blame for not being good Muslims?
Aren't we to blame for not knowing enough about our own religion in order to live it and preach it?
Or...
Do we always sit back and wait for the scholars to do the job, We wash our hands and try to convince ourselves that it's not our duty to know more about Islam.
How much are we doing for Islam?
Long ago, we could bring the excuse "I'm illiterate."
Today this excuse is no longer acceptable.
Some of us like to bring the excuse: "I don't know enough to do anything about Islam."
But... didn't we say we didn't know enough 5 years ago? Didn't we say we didn't know enough 3 years ago, 1 year ago? Did we really progress? Are we closer to "knowing enough"?
We don't know enough today in June 2013. Are we doing effort so that we will know enough to start by the end of this year, if God wills?
Will we know enough to start by June 2014 or June 2020, if God wills?
When will we know enough to start?
Will we ever know enough?
Are we trying to know enough?
And before that, do we even know what "enough" is?
The prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- once said: "inform people even one thing about me." Which means, inform people about Islam even one single thing.
How many little things that deserve to be shared do we know about Islam?
Do we really know absolutely NOTHING that deserves to be shared so that we bring this excuse?
Do we not know a little about the God? Can't we talk about the God?
Do we not know a little about the pillars of Islam? Can't we talk about them?
Do we not know a little about the beautiful character of the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him-? can't we talk about him?
Do we really not know anything to start?
or....
perhaps We don't want to start....
So Let's just stop blaming Non-Muslims for our shortcomings and let's look at ourselves first. If the Non-Muslims don't know Islam, it's because we didn't do our duty to show them Islam.
Let's recognize this truth and let's know our mistakes.
Let's start from today.
Let's first seek God's guidance and support.
Let's learn more about Islam. let's seek the truth from its sources.
Let's build ourselves as good Muslims.
Let's live as good Muslims following the example of the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him-.
Let's learn more and whenever we learn something new, let's share it to the world.
Let's be active.
Let's be productive.
Let's be Muslims who make the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- proud.
If I'm right, it's from the God. If I'm wrong, it's from myself.

There's just this flipside element to this... Muslim countries don't have the shortcomings that European/American countries have, they have proper good food, livestock and good agriculture, beautiful craftsmanship and housing, large focus on family and genealogy, a sense of honour and abstract values... What shortcomings do they have? Apart from being torn down by the U.S army (Gov to blame, not the people) Then what shortcomings? Not enough TV? Not enough industry and exportation other than fuels? I wouldn't call that a shortcoming, their countries stay to the healthier side. They are better off in their countries, but I know why they sell their beautiful homes and come to Europe/America, it's the anxiety of living next to conflict, that is terrible, perhaps you can educate people on the subject of the fall of the Ottoman Empire at the times of the first world war, and also reflect how life was within the Empire...

Most muslim nations have at some point in the last thirty years erected extremist regimes to marginalize basic human rights. I understand if you think that your religion is great, but not everyone under Taliban rule or the rule of the Ayatollah in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq or anywhere else is always going to be a muslim. The crime for apostasy in the Quran is death, and this is unacceptable. Modern muslims may be great people, but that's it. You are the great people, you don't need to shackle yourselves to ancient and outdated beliefs. If you don't support the more barbaric messages of Islam, if you're willing to allow social freedoms not explicitly permitted by Islam, then why keep the religion?
Muslim nations need to modernize, industrialize and incorporate secular humanism as a governmental standpoint if they want to have a prosperous future for their people. These things have drastically weakened Christianity in the West, but it has made the West prosperous. It is the way of the modern world, and no one can defy it forever.

Without a doubt this is the single best piece of art I have yet seen to promote understanding on both sides. Great work. I'd love to see someone make one telling Non-Muslin to stop blaming ALL member of your faith for the actions of a few, well I can't think of a better term than WACKO.

There are non-Muslims who know a lot about the religion and still don't want to convert. It's just that there is legit reasons why people do not wish to be Muslims. I would like to think that terrorism doesn't cross the minds of those people, but that's wishful thinking.

Whoa! This is excellent, but i don't want my comment to be perceived as something wrong.
I mean, the guilt is something of both sides, now i will say that there is people who does not investigate if it is true the information they receive, so they got stucked with this wrong ideas about Islam, the stereotypes.
Is the work of both sides to learn!

I love this message .
You don't have to know enough like you're going to go in debates about Islam all the time , All you have to do is to be a good Muslim and show the kind respectful nature of Islam in your behavior .
and If someone challenged you with a difficult question about Islam ,don't just block them (giving that they asked nicely) ,try to google it and search for the answer ,or ask someone who's more knowledgeable than you .
This way you'll both increase your own knowledge as well as reply the question .
I love a saying by Imam Al-Sadiq (a.s.) ,one of the prophet's Mohammed's grandsons : "Be a silent callers for us " ΩΩΩΩΨ§ ΩΩΨ§ Ψ―ΨΉΨ§Ψ© Ψ΅Ψ§Ω
ΨͺΩΩ
He means to let our good and polite behavior to speak for us and showing people what Islam truly is.

The message you wrote is true but I also think it touches base with Non-Muslims too.
We all need to step out of fear and learn what is true and not pick out bits and pieces of a whole to fuel whatever agenda we have against something. For Non-Muslims we need stop believing what others wish to think of Islam and start searching for ourselves.
I know when I started I began to feel ok about being submissive to the All-Father and that it was not a forceful action against me. Yes at times it is hard to understand, but searching for the truth takes times.
And sometimes going back to the beginning and learning all over again helps to shed some light over us. Learning about the truth and only speaking the truth leaves us in a better state. (That's what I believe though.)

I believe where I come from has no effect on my belief as Islam is an international faith that fits all nations. so I think my origin is of no importance here.
But if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
