Do you just do one side for the tail fin if you are going to do the brown prosthetic one?? Do you put the spikes on both sides. I'm a little confused on this part. Please help!!!

If you're going to do the brown prosthetic fin, then yes, do only one side for the normal fin. But you still but the tail spikes on both sides.

Would it be foolish of me to tackle this if I've never sewn anything in my life? Cuz I'm reading the tutorials and it seems feasible. I mean i know basically what to do and my mom is a whiz with a sewing machine, so she could always help me... lol I just want one of these really really badly!

I'd say that you'll probably be ok then. You say you've looked through the tutorial and think you can do it, plus your mom could help you if you get stuck so no, I don't think you're a fool for trying.

Yup, size it the same way as your did the other ones. They're large because this makes a large plushie.

Your tutorial is perfect! Since im making a 6-7 ft long Toothless plushie this tutorial is easy enough for me to follow :3 I can't wait to see how to do the wings. And there's a certain way you have to stuff him?

I am really excited. And this part is going to go by much faster than those damn little claws. ^^
BTW, having a prosthetic removable tail is the perfect touch for any Toothless plush.

Hahaha, I bet. xD The claws were the WORST part for me, but it was a little more bearable while watching Mythbusters.
I agree that the prosthetic fin is better, but some people might just want to make a generic Night Fury plush. *shrugs*

Ironically I also watched Mythbusters with need in thread in hand stitching together those annoying claws. I am telling anyone who wants me to make them a Toothless that all I ask is thatt hey do the claws themselves. ^^

I almost have all the materials to actually start the Toothless plush. And I have the time to do it now! But I hardly ever go into the craft store so I was wandering around aimlessly for a while trying to find everything I needed. I stumbled upon the metal snaps by accident, actually.
