The 'Silence (Or should it be 'Silent'?) class is a hundred and fifty meter military cutter oriented around small-craft operations. In the modern era that essentially makes it a very, very, very light carrier. As such, nearly a third of the craft's interior is devoted to drone storage, launch, and maintenance facilities. These facilities are then augmented by a pair of triple-mount particle beam turrets and a pair of high-powered but short-ranged sensor arrays along with a specialized drone control and monitoring system.

This makes the 'class a solid option for conducting search & rescue, recovery, planetary survey, and other similar duties. With FTL capability and reasonable storage and personnel facilities, it is also a preferred platform for small unit operations where significant orbital capabilities are not required or seen as counter-productive.
