The Resolution-Class Frigate is a smaller analog to the Impact-Class Cruiser; A multi-role vessel but this time with a focus on the personnel rather than systems. To that end, it has a good amount of open interior space, spare cabins, and a goodly number of REDSHIRTs as standard. This allows it to take on the diplomatic transport, planetary expedition, or hospital ship roles with equal ease. This orientation also restricts the ship's military usefulness; Despite being nearly three times the volume, it only mounts the equivalent firepower and systems of the smaller Opposition-Class Corvette. That said, it does mount the same assortment of systems as the Impact-Class, and can thus make a decent patrol or light survey ship with appropriate support.
