EDIT: You can also select all your files at once by hitting select multi, and then right clicking a sample and hitting the final option on the menu. (It has an A next to it) You could also hold ctrl+A to do it :3 Thanks to McChipy for letting me know about it! I hadn't even thought to look for that~People are always asking me on youtube why their sound list is always blank despite clicking the boxes, so I thought I'd just go ahead and upload a tutorial on how to do it so I don't have to keep explaining it through text. It's kind of complicated to explain and to follow, so I thought this would make things much easier. A lot of people didn't seem to realize that the reason it came up on mine immediately was because the tutorial is so old and you didn't need to do that first at the time. FRQ generating comes before they'll show up on the list, but considering you almost never use the list for anything in the first place it isn't a huge deal either way =w=

On all your tracks or just some? If the alias has syllables you don't have in the folder, circles won't appear there as there was no wav to create the FRQ from. It also all has to be wav and no mp3

never mind i fixed it, i has to use oremo because for some reason utau didnt like my audacity files

Ah. That would probably be a sampling rate issue. Files need to be exported at 44100. Sorry, I didn’t even think about that until just now

Your tuts on YouTube are a huge help, but I have this issue. Every time I try to do it, it gives me an error. The resampler crashes or something. HALP ME :V

!! I solved the issue.
I had to reinstall the whole program.
Apparently sometimes utau just installs itself and forgets to install some features like the frq files option or even installing resampler.dll.

Hmm...that's very very odd. And you're sure the wav files are in the folder? Have you tried doing it one at a time? That can be a bit tedious though. If you send me the voicebank I'll take a look at it

I have tried one at a time, it didn't seem to help. it's not exactly a voice bank, just a singular noise. I'm not sure how to send it to you cause of the file type, but i'll see if Stash takes it

Just one? You need to have the samples separated, or you can OTO them in a string, but if you only have one wav file and no OTO for it it'll only play whatever you have the file named

ok i managed to get the circle to appear, must have been something with the file. I copied it, converted it to mp3 then back to wav then it worked for some reason.
i still can't get the sound to play though for some reason nor does it want to appear in the sound list..

That's odd, I'm not having any issues with it sounding. It only makes a single FRQ file and then uses that, it doesn't make a new FRQ for every time the note plays. It isn't playing silence for me, are you sure you typed in the file name correctly when you were testing it? I'm not trying to be patronizing I'm just running out of ideas >>

I know thats fine, thanks for helping so it works for you.. maybe it's just my computer? i've watched so many videos, read so many things on this trying to get it to work but it just.. doesn't? i've gotten the default voice to play, so it's something to do with the sound file that's messing with it

What's wrong with you? You should try recording an actual voicebank/sample. That odd noise is going to behave differently than an actual sample
