I'm really glad you posted that! It was really interesting to see...(Makes me appreciate your work even more after I've seen what you go through to make it to the end result.) That's really neat!
It should also help if I ever get around to trying Paint.net.

Okay, this process is also taking me a while with my latest piece which is a comic. Maybe not for you as much since your such a wizard with comics.

Aw shucks. I can assure you, I'm not so fast at doing comics either!
(It took me a long time and practice before I got as fast as I am today, which STILL isn't really all that fast.)
*though I suppose some of that is my laziness and weakness for playing solitaire and Peggle*
I look forward to seeing what you end up doing with your comic.

Whooooaaa! Coolio!
I can see your art style quite clearly, but your shading is......What sort of pencils do you use? Any pens? That looks really neat, really gorgeous for plain black and white--the shading definitely gives it depth and such detail!

Well, I love Bics, whether they're pencil or the Ultra Round Stic grip pen variety. I noticed that giving my lineart shading instead of digitally shading really helps.

I like Bics too--I don't use them so often anymore, but they used to be THE ballpoint pen of choice in this house. You wouldn't have to look very far to find a Bic lying around somewhere.

I just find roller stic grip type actually the best to control value. Also, I learned I neat trick with those pens by rolling the bottom ball to clean the pen with my thumb so the pen quality can adjust well.
