Description
I am a very plain person, so never expect me to do crazy ass swoopy lines insofar as car design goes. Most of the concept drawings I see of cars as of late just outright upset me, so here is something more traditional. No, it doesn't have 22" spinners, nor is it slammed to the ground so that the camber has to be at an over 10Β° tilt to let the wheels under the wheel wells.
I am designing a car that i would actually buy if i could make that happen.
I see a few cars mixed up in this one: Looks like a first gen Toyota Solara for the lower window line, almost Saturnish rear lights, but overall very traditional lines. That rear hatch splits vertically between the top part of the rear light on either side of the integrated spoiler.
Are there mistakes, of course yes. I didn't reference off any pic, I just plotted the perspective lines and drew what was on my mind. For the record though, i do start with the wheels and then build it from there. As i start colouring this one i will fix it as i go.
Process:
Rough: So i started with a just a piece of cheap ass printer paper and plotted some perspective lines. I was originally going to draw a sedan, but it turned into a coupe.
Pencil: I put it on my light box and traced it off with a super sharp 2H pencil.
Final lines: I want this one to be clean so i blew it up and traced it over with a 1 px brush. All those lines with exception of the wheels are with the line tool. Yes it took some time to do, Corel Photopaint 8 doesn't seem to have a good curve tool. One note witht he rims, I did draw only the top half and flip it and copy it for the front wheel slightly altering it.
This was alot of fun so far, now on to the colours.

you:
-dont slam'em,
-don't get'em on 24's
-don't put'em on 13' with 14Β° camber to fit'em under da body,
but:
-you get'em realistic like hell
-you make fucking good tyre sculptures
-you make them realisable....IRL....
this is not ultra-kool-roadscraper-custom, but it simply works... greatly.

Wayyyy better than any of those far out designs, keep it simple is in this case keeping it good man. My favorite cars are Corvettes, I Dig the simple but appealing lines, not to mention it's a fucking corvette. lol

I think your concept is functional and gorgeous, and that's important! The tail lights are a nice depart from what's common in today's new cars, it's no longer that strange clunkly shape that melds into the trunk. I like it.

IMO the back looks like a modified 00-03 Accord coupe with some high bad ass looking acura integra's front.

incredible work, but why didn't you just go straight to the pen tool in photoshop rather to save time?

I drew it out so as to know I can still draw it on paper.
If i can, i don't like to be over reliant on computer, it dumbs down the art and the artist.

Though I must point out that most coupes I've seen don't come with rear wiper blades.

I think most modern cars are either ugly, or have too many pointless features to cost as much as they do.

Looks like a good mix of a short skyline body with an old corolla hatchback top and a solara rear minus the tailights. Make a 3/4 front end shot.

Those lines are amazingly clean! Hey, if you have too much trouble with Photopaint, the GIMP has a pretty good line/curves tool. It's free to download and is pretty good.

Nice work, man! With linework that clean it doesn't need a lot of flourish, really. As I am forever being defeated by drawing cars, I really admire anyone who can pull it of successfully. Excellent work! Very well done!

Looks very nice, Omar. Is this a straight outta-your-head custom design, or an actual concept car design for an actual company? Either way, it looks straight up pimpin'.
I can see some Solara influences in it, and yeah, the taillights look a bit like from an Ion or so, but it seems to have a Honda-ish side (specially lookin' at the door and front wheel panels).
You should make this one in supreme silver. I'd buy it.

Okay I like this design. xD I hate it when people over do things to their cars (concept art or to real cars). It just looks so gaudy and unneeded.
The design in this is simple and yet sleek. It's what I really like to see in a car design. A lot of the time in car designs (as far as looks go anyways), less is more.
I'm looking forward to seeing how you finish this off. The colors I'm sure will be astounding.
