Without wasting a millisecond, he took a step towards one of their attackers with a wand, one who was aiming at Luna's head.

"Crack Jaw..." L said promptly, "Prompt attacker to retaliate in anger...magic spell predictable...."

True to form the man lunged at L with his wand to perform a spell on him which would not require his saying it, "Sweep evade said telegraphed attack, drag attacker off of good leg..." he went on.

"With attacker unbalanced, dislocate ankle..." without another word, the man's ankle resounded in a crack likened to the one heard in his jaw.

"Likely hood of standing back up, minimized; break nose." L said sighing into a frown. He could see Luna, while doing extraordinarily was being out gunned by wand-men.

As the man's face collided with his knee, his wand went flying from his now limp finger tips.

"Wand acquired..." L said triumphantly in his mind, yanking it out of the air. "Expelliarmus..." he he said through his teeth, sending a deatheater flying.

"Ms. Lovegood!!" he said outloud as he backed up near Luna.

Luna snapped to attention to him and ran towards him herself.
