Do I hear a soft spot for the work of editors? I know I have one...in fat, I wanted to be one for the longest time. Hell, I still want to be one. Imagine: being paid to read and fix the not-so-hot bits. Beings around writers all the time. *le sigh*

Absolutely read it, and while you're at it, "The Coffin Dancer" by Jeffery Deaver is pretty damn good too!

When lack of an editor produces 200ish pages a book can do without...then yes, I've got a soft spot.

And yes, I'd love love to be an editor. My husband is an aspiring writer (has written three books, but not yet been published) and I read all his stuff first. I love to try to help the book be better. He's doing National Novel Writing Month (NANOWRIMO) if you've ever heard of that, so he'll write most of another book during November, when it takes place. I think working on his stuff helps me quell the editing bug.

This is so beautiful because of the colors you chose in the scarf - pregnancy is such a miracle, and depicting it that way brings that out powerfully.

I'm SO GLAD we did. It'll never happen for me again, and so this is something I felt really strongly about doing. If you're having another one, you can always do it then!! Shots of a pregnant woman that include her other children are GORGEOUS and so very, very touching...like, with their tiny hands on your big belly....so sweet!
