Quick and sloppy tutorial of how I go about spriting. :U
Not the best example, but I hope it gets the idea across. xD
Also I'm aware of any mistakes. OTL I'm not a professional tutorial-er.

Ohp, that would be helpful. xD I think I did everything up there in MS paint, and if you want to make it transparent, then you take it into photoshop or gimp and get rid of the background :3

No, there are still no layers in Paint. xD I usually ink over my sketch then manually erase the sketch, before filling it in with the bucket tool. :3
I know you can sprite in Photoshop and use layers, but I prefer Paint.

Oh ok I only ask because you talk about layers in the beginning of your steps so that's why i was confused about what program you were using for each xpp
