Description
A tattooed Opera Ghost as a submission to PFN's Modern Phantom art contest. The premise is that our dear Erik is a rebel in his own right for the period because his mask is socially unacceptable, and that translates into body modification for me in that one or two small pieces is generally accepted, but sleeves and backpieces still manage to raise eyebrows. Also, the self-inflicted ink strikes me as something this version would do without batting an eyelash::grins:: Heh....the Christine in this world would most likely be an Old Navy kid, very suburban, but haunted.Related content

I love the use of the old opera style gloves. I agree with your theory of your modern phantom, and to me I would think that he would still have that older victorian style that the gloves indicate. I love it!

They're actually meant to be latex tattooists gloves. But yes, he'd be the kind of guy who has a house full of antique funerary equipment and taxidermy.

Because of this pic, I want to draw you your idea of Christine as you described in this pic! I think the tatooing her name across his chest is a good and clear representation of his love for her! I just love your costumes and your Phantoms, just wonderful!

I'm a modder myself, and this ink is beautiful!! I especially love his black tattoo artist's gloves. ^_^ too cool. The white roses are wonderfully representitive as is Christine's name (her name kind of representing to me, how tattooed names of lovers rarely work out) I love the power in his eyes, and the mask on his tattoo machine. Think he would do a custom piece for me?

I love the music on his arm, and I noticed that you said it was "Point of No Return"- how appropriate! And the "Christine" across his chest, where his heart is... that's just magnificent. The scorpion is a nice touch too, and I think I spy half of the grasshopper.
