Description Pontus/Pontos: The first created by Khaos' blessings. The first true lord of the waters of the earth and the element of water. The stirrer of waves. All water was at his command, from the sea, to the smallest pond, to the rain and the steam.  Looked upon by Oceanos and Poseidon with great respect. Through his love of his consort Thalassa, Pontus fathered all the denizens of the see. From the smallest mollusk, to the titanic prehistoric sea beasts. It is no wonder that even Poseidon himself "takes a knee to Pontus."

Pontus is not very well depicted in Greek art. The few articles that survive are oddly floor mosaics. On which they show him with crab legs protruding from his head. Which I did not like at all. Instead I incorporated them into a circlet, which I feel works extremely better. The staff, Himation, and furniture I all borrowed from various pottery, though the design on the himation is not very well seen. And I used a blue turquoise color to represent his majesty's element. As I can say the same with the back shield, which has dolphins swimming about. Pontus' massive horn holds the "waters of the world" within. The golden rims are actually taken from 3 relics that depict sea plants (the bottom point) A farmer watering his fields (middle band) and a warrior attacking a giant snake (upper) I have always personally believed that the warrior was the son of a water/sea god. The relics were in the Herakleon Museum on Krete but from what I found out, they are either now off display or have been moved to another museum. Probably the National Museum in Athens.
