"We had another run-in with Amber," James stated. "Only this time, she seemed to be after Jena, so I brought her here."

"Amber?" Scarlet repeated, suddenly sitting up straight. Then turning to Jena and added, "Why would she be interested in you?"

"I-I don't know," Jena replied. "M-maybe because she thinks I'm someone close to you. She tried to talk me into spying on you."

"Spying," Scarlet repeated, narrowing her eyes. "What did you tell her?"

"I-I refused," Jena replied. "And then she attack me."

"You turned her down," Scarlet said. "Why?"

"Because you're my friend-- and I owed you one for what you did for me the other day," Jena repllied. Scarlet seemed to stare into space as if she had been struck.

"You choose me," Scarlet murmured, "over Lady Necro."
